Not impressed in the slightest.
I took out redundancy cover in September 2009 and unfortunately it was needed when I was made redundant in September 2010. I am yet to see a penny of it - fortunately I got back into work at the start of March 2011.
I was missold the policy regarding how the excess period is calculated - something which has been acknowledged by PaymentShield although they refuse to honour the agreement - instead it is a matter for internal staff training.
They claim to have not received my letter of complaint, and yet still dismissed the complaint without knowing the nature of it, despite knowing that the policy was missold.
The undisputed payment is still outstanding nearly six weeks after it should have been paid and I have not heard anything from Payment shield in this time despite several letters requesting payment.
Very poor customer service - and the piece of mind that I thought I was paying for hasn't materialised. I wouldn't recomend PaymentShield to anyone.
I just hope that the Financial Ombudsman is able to sort this out.
