Wonderful picture quality,
Bright picture, can be viewed in daylight with heavy curtains.
Nice dark blacks. No rainbows evident (depends on individual)
Quiet as well.
800x600 pixels, if you're too close you will see them.
Component is squeezed into S-video.
The Toshiba MT-100 is my first projector so I can't compare it to any other model.
However this is based on the Infocus X-1 model so you know this is a winner.
I can only describe it as having a giant DVD picture on the wall. The quality is amazing and having a much bigger picture you can see so much more detail than on your TV. The colours and contrast was vibrant and rich, its totally engrossing.
Its a DLP model and I was worried about rainbows that can be evident on these projectors but I have yet to see them and the same goes for the rest of the family.
Limitations are its low in resolution (SVGA) and doesn't have true component input (done via S-video adapter).
Don't let these minor quibbles put you off, because now for the price of a decent telly you can have true home cinema in your front room.
A word of warning, video tapes and divx movies (even if they are DVD-Rip) will be grainy and poor quality through this projector. Its okay for kids and it is watchable but stick in a DVD via component/S-Video and see the difference.
The lamp is rated for 3000hrs and the menu's are easy.
A wonderful projector for the money and you get a DVD package thrown in while stocks last.
