Good Points
Compact , good general sound , excellent bass .

Bad Points
Noisy cd mechanism intrudes at low music volume .

General Comments
This Bose Wave Radio/CD was purchased to replace a portable hi-fi micro system for my bedroom and as such , has been a vast improvement . For such a small unit , the overall sound is a joy , the bass is deep and pure , but treble can sometimes appear swamped and tinny . There is no facility to alter the bass/treble ratio , so some kinds of music don't fare well .

My biggest gripe is that when played at a low volume , the noisy cd mechanism intrudes .
