“I would recommend anyone to go and see Cinderella at...”

written by Dandini on 23/12/2008

Good Points
The singing was powerful, the dancing was excellent - especially the Billy Barry kids. The best part though by far was the audience participation at the end with Buttons and Dandini. The kids (and oldies) raised the roof on Sunday night (21st Dec)

Bad Points
Tthe music was a little overpowerful for the songs on a couple of occasions so perhaps it could be a little more balanced to suit all types of voices

General Comments
I would recommend anyone to go and see Cinderella at the Gaiety Theatre, Dublin - young or old. As someone who has appeared in London panto for a long time I was interested to see what an Irish one would be like. All I can say is both my husband and I enjoyed it immensely. we are both in our 60s but love the craic as much as anyone. This particular panto showed how you can have a huge amount of fun and laughter without any of the smut recently associated with live performances of shows. It made me want to get up there and take part all over again!!!
