“I took my CBT recently on this model of bike, I liked...”

written by FrogLady on 25/09/2008

Good Points
Runs well, reliably, rarely if ever goes wrong, handles well, sporty look, comes with top box. Bright colours... you will certainly show up on the road! A decent bike for the price. Cheap to insure. Cheap to run. Excelent value for money. Parts are easily available.

Bad Points
Body work is plastic which (I feel) cheapens the look of the bike a little. Suspension is a little hard, riding on a rough surfaced road rattles you a bit! Companies like Swinton won't insure it as its not on their books, but Rampdale, for example, insure it no problem.

General Comments
I took my CBT recently on this model of bike, I liked it so much we spent hours tracking one down, and traveled 100s of miles to buy a Sukida SK50...but well worth the effort! It ' s a chunky bike, so adults don't look daft on it. It handles really well, the breaks are responsive, it purrs and being 4 strokes, doesn't sound like a swarm of high pitched bees! It does struggle a little in hilly areas only reaching 20ish, and can ' t cope with 45 degree hills like I get near my home, but drives and copes well in town hitting just over 30mph, or 40mph downhill with the wind behind you! It ' s a smashing bike, and I am so glad I bought one, and am only parting with mine now as I have gained confidence and want to move onto a 125cc. It ' s an excellent 1st bike...I highly recommend it. And in truth...I'll be sad to see it go.
