“The Aberhods menu is advertised as traditional sunday...”

written by evjnf1 on 02/08/2009

The Aberhods menu is advertised as traditional sunday lunch.available as carvery or table service.waiting on staff friendly and helpful.my food was very disappointing.beef and what was allegedly yorkshire pudding.a soggy heap on top of beef.veg also disappointing.carrots and swede also red cabbage.no greens.i sent my meal back .replacement plaice was salty with black peppercorns scattered over(chefs revenge?)a mound of reconstituted potato again no greens.carrots and swede again!i couldn't eat it.the manager apologised with no sincerity and said if i hadn't eaten the meal no payment was expected.i had coffee.very nice.on leaving my husband was charged for fish meal and given free coffee instead.the chef appeared at bar and was rude towards me. he said the fish was salty as it was a sea water fish.his manner was patronising to say the least we will not be going there again..
