Had my 'S'plate 3.0 CDX for four years now and it has 95K on the clock. Overall I love to drive it. It is certainly quick in a straight line and bags of power for seevn big people. The problems I have suffered I would class as bearable wear and tear - water pump (easy to replace and not costly), front discs, pads, cam belt (dealer said every 80k, but had mine done at 70k to be safe). The disappointing things are the electrics are shocking! When windscreen wipers are going the empty fuel tank warning comes on sometimes(weird), as another reviewer said the blower fan cuts out on setting 5, just touch an airbag or SRS wire (like under the seat) and the airbag warning light comes on and needs to be reset by a dealer (£40). The multi information display above the dash always reads absurd figures eg my car seems to be doing six to the gallon (calibration?), the remote key fob has ceased working and I will not pay the silly dealer prices. But on the whole a great ride, super space and flexible, especially with two small kids - getting child seats in and out is so easy. I would say that the main dealer attitude stinks. I recently asked for a price on a front hub bearing only to be told I need the entire hub. They laughed at me and then said that would be £275+VAT. I just hate that. I have mine serviced by a local garage who could not be more helpful. They take a genuine interest and do not overcharge and discuss any issues in advance. I want to keep mine going for as long as possible and I can do a lot of work myself and keep searching the breakers sites for parts.
