I didn't buy this Whittard Coffee Grinder, my girlfriend did.
It sat in her kitchen for several months before I asked "Do you use that?"
Her reply, "No, it doesn't work"
After many frustrating attempts by myself I can confirm it does not work.
Actually, that is technically untrue. It works in that it grinds coffee beans so long as you don't mind stopping every 30 or so seconds to reassemble all the components that have worked themselves loose.
I think there is a fundamental flaw in the design of this product in that all the components are held together by a top screw which has a right hand thread. The operating action requires the user to turn the handle clockwise whilst at the same time exerting and upwards force.
I think to combine the design flaw and the operating actrion together and you get a product that falls apart, literally in your hands, by unscrewing itself everytime you try to use it.
I really can't recommend this.
