First one I bought almost caught fire. Lakeland where I bought it from replaced it no problem, had this one now for about 2 years, with almost daily use, but now centre paddle has snapped in half. I will buy another, but I won't put paddle and lid in the dishwasher, I think it makes the plastic brittle.
Just a note about other machines. I think European law now states that any item bought must work for a reasonable time, which is considered to be 3 years.
