Written on: 03/05/2002 by cole. (1 review written)

The C45 is Siemens answer to the nokia monopoly on customizable phones. I loved my siemens m35i and it took me some time to brave facing a new phone so stuck with what i knew and haven't looked back. With a data-cable (expensive through siemens but very cheap through online auctions, etc) can download ringtones and graphics, or create own on pc. Alogether a slinky and versatile little beast that at the price would be tough to beat… Read Full Review

Cheers Kadie! As my Wap is free I can now get free ringtones! I had never been to the site before. However I can't seem to get logos of the site. When I try to I get the message "unsupported content type" on my C45.

The way I get ringtones and logos is by using the internet on my phone and going to the site http://wap.club-siemens.com where there are plenty of ringtones and logos you can download directly onto your phone!

Bena.'s Response to 21472_Aaron.'s Review

Written on: 24/05/2002

The way that I get logos is:
<br>
<br>I bought a Siemens Data Cable for about £15 / $22US* / €23*
<br>then I downloaded a program called S35Explorer which can be purchased from www.s35expl.de for £14* / $20 / €23 (a shareware version is available).
<br>
<br>Unfortunately, this is exactly what you'd call free but you can download (or design) as many logos / ringtones as you want and it doesn't cost any more.
<br>
<br>In order to get ringtones you have to use a midi file. . .
<br>
<br> * Currency conversions are approximate.

To get free ringtones and logos you need to go to the siemens website. (www.my-siemens.com). Then you can download ringtones and logos.Just click on the relevant links and select the ringtone/logo you want to download. You fill in your mobile number and details and then a code is sent to your phone. Then enter this code in the computer. It really is quite easy! It You can pay buy calling a number or you can register. Best thing is, if you register you get 2 tones/logos free!

Written on: 23/04/2002 by The Man Without A Nick. (1 review written)

Having owned a C25 and C35 previously, I thought I'd go for a Siemens C45 mobile phone next. It was pretty much the same as the C35, but lighter. I liked the amber background of the screen. What I DIDN'T like however was that they'd taken away the composer, so now we're supposed to download melodies instead. Listen, Siemens, if I wanted to be a little corporate whore who pays to have my ears screwed and then squeal for more, I'd buy a Nokia. You lot are German, dammit, you shouldn't make… Read Full Review

The Siemens C45 is a good mobile phone, but free logos and ringtones would be so much better. it would give you more freedom to express urself, and it's bad enough we have to top it up so often! my friends like it and a few have already bought one cos i had one1. i wouldn't change anything apart from the dodgy buttons but they are ok once u get used to them. we want free logos and ringtones! lol… Read Full Review

I agree with this review , the c45 is a really good mobile but i would really like downloadable ringing tones and logos to personalise my mobile a bit more. But I'm glad the clip it covers are so easy to remove and replace but maybe a more varried colour scheme of clip it covers would be nice too

Written on: 22/04/2002 by Josh. (1 review written)

Upgrading from my old Nokia 5110 i was looking for something less ubiquitous than the 3310 and the Siemens C45 seemed to be a similar mobile phone.
Slightly more expensive than its Nokia counterpart, it makes up for this in functionality and features. Personally I find the menu system just as easy to use as the Nokia's and the dual selection keys (like on the Nokia 82** models) make navigation quicker and easier. As well as that frequently used sections of the menu can be set as speed dial… Read Full Review

Written on: 17/04/2002 by TJ Cruel. (1 review written)

The Siemens C45 is an attractive, small mobile phone which oozes in style and elegance. It has a very decent battery life, aswell as some brilliant features, good games and screensaver/ringtone capabilities pity not as easy to obtain like Nokia. Minor setbacks contain the lack of currency convertor/calculator with the changeable front and back covers and ability to make your own via the website, just as good as Nokia if not better. Comparing to the Nokia 3330 this just gets the edge offering… Read Full Review

First I will start with the negative points on the Siemens C45 mobile phone. Its only real pitfuls are the cramped keypad and plasticy buttons however its not that bad and you get you used it. Also the menu system is not as quick and easy to navigate as my previous phone (a nokia!) however like the button you get used to the new menu system. The only other bad point I can think of is the that although you can get ringtones and logos (from www.my-siemens.com) there is a slightly limited range of… Read Full Review

I also cannot find the composer which the phone is advertised as having. there are two reasons why i chose this phone 1.I previously had a c35i and was very happy with it so i wanted to stay with siemens. 2. It had a composer. So any help on how to get composer would really help me out. Thanks

I bought the Siemens C45 mobile phone 3 days ago, after my dear old Nokia 5110 went to heaven. I was considering a Nokia 3330, but I have kinda gotten an anti Nokia attitude the last months.. everyone has them.. So I decided to try something else this time.. And since the C45 was priced the same as 3330, I went for it... only thing I was concerned about was the Menu navigation... since I was familiar with Nokia. But this turned out to be a surprise... The navigation was quite easy and I liked… Read Full Review

I have owned a Siemens C45 mobile phone from December and I have to say that overall it is a great little phone. The orange backlight is superb and works a treat in poor light conditions. The phone is nice and light yet feels very solidly made. I have found absolutely no problems using the keys whatsoever, contrary to some other reviews. It took a little time to learn how to use the buttons and menus, but once I got on to it it was easy! WAP performance on the phone is also good and is easy to… Read Full Review

Yeah! this Siemens C45 is the Nokia 33xx beater, CLIP it cover for styling and strong features and signals, yet better talktime upto 5hours and also cheaper.
Advice for Siemens : fixes for bugs and faster responses on this phones, thus give it a Lithium-ion battery.

Written on: 24/01/2002 by Lizzie. (1 review written)

The keypad on my Siemens C45 is fine, and my keypad is solid, not like dead flesh. The 'cramped' keys at the top can easily be used, unless maybe you have large fingers, the backlight is nice and shows up well in the dark, they probably used orange instead of yellow because it would consume less power as the intensity is not as bright as yellow. The games are good, and the choice of tone, silent or click for the keypad is fine. The screen is not small, in fact it's quite large considering the… Read Full Review
