“beware price hike after booking.”

i booked 4 flights with on the beach at £311 pounds per person plus £43 baggage costs.i had booked this for a family friend who doesn,t have internet.the next day,on the beach phoned this family friend,telling them that the flights had risen by £52.50 for each person,£210 extra in total.she agreed to pay this price hike believing she would be putting the holiday of her friends in jeopardy if she didn,t.i phoned otb on her behalf asking to cancel,but i was informed that because she had… Read Full Review

“Shocking holiday booked 9months ago & they changed the...”

Booked & paid for 9 mths ago! They called 9 hours before departure to say the hotel provider had double booked! I called the hotel direct & they confirmed my rooms were available. Ended up on a half board holiday instead of All inclusive, full family was ill after eating in the hotel the first night! All in all paid for all in & ended up basically self catering. Me and two friends booked our holiday with one the beach.com in Feb 2013. Due to fly out on July 8th. On June 3rd they emailed us to say our accommodation had been overbooked and offered us an alternative hotel. We wasn't best pleased but thought at least we have an alternative. Turns out the alternative was not even matching up to we originally booked, we dan cope with more of a walking distance to night clubs but BED BUGS is a real no go!!! “NEVER EVER BOOKING WITH THESE AGAIN!”

Because of an error in there system my friends who im going on holiday with have had there flight and hotel extended a day (which shouldnt have happened) whilst me and my other friends have had the flight extended but not the hotel (again this shouldnt have happened)so we now leave a day after we have to leave the hotel so we are going to be stuck on the streets of malia. “What a diabolical shower of a company”

NEVER EVER book a holiday with this company... When I rang to enquire about the accommodation for a place I liked the look of, the assistant took every single detail from me and by that I mean all passenger names, ages, passport numbers etc etc and after 10 minutes on the phone all I wanted was to know if the apartments had one or two rooms! “Cancelled hotel with 3 weeks to go”

I have booked a flight and hotel with On the beach and with 3 weeks to go I receive a email Asking me to log in to my booking, when I do so I get a message my hotel I booked has been changed due to a system error a hotel with a similar name was the one booked for us and the one we want is not available. “A company thats Lies to you about flight prices”

We recently booked flights with on the beach, they systematically rang each lead person and told us the price had risen since booking the flights, they said we could cancel there and then, we paid the extra, being curious I went to the website of the airline and checked the same flights, the price had not risen so On The Beach had rang, charged more and lied. This has just happened to me and i have lost 1000 pounds with on the beach. They advised me that there was only 6 seats left on a flight. I booked and now have foind numerous seats 1000 cheaper on my holiday. What can I do

Booked a holiday to Tunisia for 3 adults and 2 children. Booked on 18/5/13 and it cost 3500. I was told not to wait as flight prrices were rising daily and flights limited from birmingham. I booked then after speaking to a friend I decided to call on the beach on 20/5/13 to enquire about the same flights /hotel and price. It was now 2200 for exactly the same holiday. I am a student and have spent all my savings on this holiday as I have just been diagnosed with a anurysm on my brain and want to be with my family together. I feel very betrayed by on the beach. Always booked with them before and thought I could trust them. What can I do

Onthebeach.co.uk claim to be a legitimate travel company. Taking advantage of people by offering so called "low deposits" and then either fleecing them for more money or holding their deposit so that they can make money out of it. I highly advise to reconsider using on the beach. 1. While you booking there are hidden charges visible only when you click on 'confirm payment'. We were charged £20 extra for nothing! 2. We booked our holiday 3 months ago but 3 weeks before our holiday starts we were informed via message board that our hotel is no longer available due to maintenance and refurbishment (but my friends who are going there with us are still OK to stay at this hotel!). we have gone with onthebeach for a number of years and always been satisfied we booked our flights a few weeks ago and as soon as we pressed confirm noticed the date had changed we rang them in less than a minute to be told we had to pay an extra 450.00 i rang monach myself and got the price down to 240.00 i still feel cheated i looked at the site again 10 minutes later & it had the correct dates in with out me having to enter anything.we will never go with them again and deffinately would not… Read Full Review

If you have any sense you will keep far away from on the beach. I have had nothing but problems from the second I clicked complete on their website. Even if you do find a cheap deal on their website i suggest you run far away because you dont get what you paid for. I booked a 5 star hotel in Tenerife which ended up being a 4Star and nevermind that i ended up being booked into a complete different hotel which was a 3star after having confirmation of a 5star hotel. I booked a 1 week holiday away, flights and hotel through on the beach. After doing so I had emails confirming the booking in which I checked all the details and were all correct!! A few days later however I received my e-ticket with the incorrect flight details on. My outward bound journey was the same day as my return flight home, which would mean I would be away for 1 day!!! “OTB - ABTA registered but companies they use might not be”

We had to complain to On The Beach regarding our hotel. They said they would need to check with the 3rd party company Eurorooms that they booked through. When we booked the On The Beach website described our hotel as "This big modern hotel". Eurorooms stated their web site didn't so hotel wasn't mis-sold. After several months of emailing and sending letters I finally went to ABTA. ABTA have said that while On The Beach are ABTA registered, Eurorooms are not so there is nothing they can do. I'm sorry that you've had reason to complain about your hotel.

If you can send a message through 'Manage your booking' on our website, I can look into this to ensure we've covered everything possible.

What you've been advised is correct in that we would need to refer your complaint to the hotel, however I want to ensure that you've had a response from them and also that we're describing the hotel correctly on our site.

Hi Nikki,

I've had 3 different dialogues through your website and sent 2 letters and all that happens is you refer them to hotel or Eurorooms. They then reply that they have no record of complaints, even although I did complain whilst at hotel, so they will not do anything.

OTB have now changed your website to this cheap and cheerful hotel but this doesn't help me 6 months after I've returned.

I (as the customer service manager) would like to look into this further as I’m concerned about your last comment. Whilst we are the agent I’m concerned about the fact that the description has now been changed but this hasn’t been resolved for you. I understand that you’ve sent us several messages but from the details on here I’m unable to locate them to contact you.
