I drive a lot of different cars through the course of my business, using hire cars almost 2 times per week. To date I have mostly driven the new Astra, Golf and Megan and found these to be adequate, if a little more thirsty than expected from 1.6 motors.

I've done 3000 miles in my new Civic EX 1.8 VTEC and I must admit I'm in love with it.
It's great at speed on motorways, it's great going around corners - even in the wet because of the traction control - and it's very comfortable on long trips.
