I was completely dissatisfied with VPI, and I felt they really didn't care as long as they were getting a paycheck. So, I cancelled, and I am now with Pets Best Insurance. The monthly premiums are about the same, but after a $75 deductible they reimburse 80% of your bill. I haven't had to file a ...

I can't get a reasonable explanation of benefits when items are denied. Veterinary Pet Insurance (VPI) is telling me that my vet is wrong about a diagnosis, without telling me how they came to this conclusion.

I am cancelling my policies on my two dogs.

Far more hassle than they are worth! After getting the run-around and contradictory information from a customer service rep. (who never was able to successfully explain why a wound from a tick bite would not be covered unless it was lime disease, but that the company would pay for lime disease itsel ...

Deductible on EVERY single claim. They don't even know what insurance means.
They only cover a few hundred dollars for cancer!!!

Seriously -- you get insurance for when your pet faces serious illness (like cancer) -- and Veterinary Pet Insurance then leave you in the dark.

When I tried to process a claim I was given the run around until the point that the window for my claim passed, and then I was denied.

Being a member with Veterinary pet Insurance for two years, I was upset, so I filed a report with the Better Business Bureau, and they were not even able to mak ...

First of all, when you call you are on hold for about 20 minutes, and when you do get through, the customer service staff are unhelpful.

Veterinary Pet Insurance (VPI) take payments in a very timely manner, but meanwhile take months to review your claims. They denied a claim of my dog's infectio ...

I called VPI to cancel my policy that I have had for over a year. Premiums go up annually by the way, claim or no claim. Customer service told me that I had to write or fax my request to them. I faxed my request (no way to tell if they got it), as that is always their excuse! Veterinary Pet Insu ...

Their customer service person hung up on me when I asked a question.

They deny claims based on whether an illness started in any way before they were diagnosed. For those of us who adopt adult animals I find it discusting. If they can find the slightest excuse, they deny not only your claim but ...

Veterinary Pet Insurance (VPI) is the worst pet insurance anyone can buy!! VPI is also the most expansive pet insurance in the whole world. VPI uses loop holes to indefinitely avoid payment of claims (40 days contact in California).

Veterinary Pet Insurance (VPI) is the worst pet health insurance company I have ever come across. We paid our subscriptions for two years without ever missing a single payment. In the first year of coverage we submitted a claim for an ear infection our dog got, but they contested it. They requesting ...
