we were a bit hesitant when air asia announced their very cheap flights from perth to uk but ended up very pleasantly surprised. we pre ordered our meals which were very tasty and adequate. the seating was very comfortable with no less leg room than any other plane we've been on. we hired a hand held entertainment module and this was good til the battery died but did get to see a movie and play a few games on it - killed a bit of time. it was a very quiet flight with minimal cabin noise and the… Read Full Review

I was hesitant in booking with Air Asia as I had read bad reviews and friends had previously had bad experience with delayed and cancelled flights.
However I was pleasantly surprised. We flew Melbourne to KL and KL to Bali and return and the flights were only delayed once (45 mins at Melbourne airport).
Airfares were cheap but costs added up as you have to pay for everything extra (ie. food, drinks, blankets, luggage etc). Seats were surprisingly comfortable, though a bigger person might find… Read Full Review

I had a lot of problem with Air Asia online booking and customer care service.
I am a Malaysian who booked a trip from KL to Taipei.
Roundtrip ticket is booked from 20th to 25th of June with Premium seat.
I changed my flight on 20th to 21st and i select premium during the changes.
And i pay RM250 as penalty fee due to the flight change.
But when i reach LCCT on 21st of June, i am only allocated for Economy seat.
The ground staff told me i selected Economy during the changes.
And there is no… Read Full Review

We thought we'd try this airline for a short flight, but we've decided never to fly with them again. Flight was delayed both to and from Kota Kinabalu. The ground staff were not friendly at all and didn't even smile, general attitude was appalling. The in-flight crew looked a mess, with all the girls looking more like lady-boys. The pilots and cabin crew were incoherent, both because of the poor PA system and their thick accents and they spoke at the speed of light. The cabin crew's attention… Read Full Review

Airasia is one of the worst flights we have ever seen.WE booked our flights online and when we went there we were asked to pay the whole ticket amount in full if not we cannot fly. They did charge us on our credit cards also. They charge twice for the flights.Arrogant people in office.Waste of money… Read Full Review

This pathetic airline has the most pathetic flight attendants in the world. Not only the girls look like freak but the attitude is also a wholly trash. To Tony, I'd advice u to spend some money on their grooming class rather than ur failure F1 team.

Both legs of my roundtrip flight Singapore - Kuching on AirAsia "have unfortunately been rescheduled" by ten hours earlier. I specifically chose the original times to allow for quick connections; now I have to rearrange my whole travel plan. When I spoke to the AirAsia agent and asked if they could do anything, the agent said that it was a management decision and I can cancel my flight and use the credit within 3 months. Seems that they can change or cancel flight at anytime without any… Read Full Review

I will take a flight from Macau to Perth in July. They cancelled the flight for a "management requirement" from Macau to Malaysia and put me to the next flight. No compensation. Not clear explanation. No guarantee they will not change again. So based on the other comments on Air Asia, it is clear they change your flights all the time. So Air Asia seems totally unreliable!!!!! And they are not cheap!!!!!… Read Full Review

The best airline experience. Flight was on time. It was cheap compare to other airlines I looked at. From the moment I set my foot on the plane I was well looked after by absolutely gorgeous and friendly cabin crew. They were happy and chatty as well as efficient. Nothing was too much work for them. The pilot was great also, giving us info about the places we flew over and warnings when we entered the area of turbulence. A person in front of me was a nervous flier and the cabin crew have really… Read Full Review

I booked a flight from Singapore to Kota Kinabalu for the 31.03.2010 at 8.50 pm about three weeks ago and today the day before my flight I get a sms saying that the flight times has been changed to an earlier time. Me and my wife we are working so we booked the night flight as it would be convenient for us and also we have other plans for the next day. Now that the flight time has changed we have to change our travel plans too. We have to come to the airport three hours earlier, is Air Asia… Read Full Review

Arrived at the check in desk at KL LCCT Terminal 2 hours before my flight to Chiangmai was scheduled to leave only to be told that the flight had already left an hour and a half earlier. Booking Clerk then told me that they'd tried 3 times to phone me to inform me of the time change which was an outright lie as I carry my phone with me always.(I'd booked the flight 10 months ago) When I queried why no attempt had been made to e-mail me with the revised flight timings I was met with a blank… Read Full Review

We flew from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore. Flight was delayed going out of Kuala Lumpur but was early landing in Singapore. Cabin crew and check-in crews were really friendly and very energetic. They are a budget airline but they acted very professional and very high class. The seats are leather upholstered seats which I like, but they seem a little bit small. Air Asia is worth your money! We only paid 17 USD for each ticket! It's ridiculous how our taxi fare to the airport was greatly more… Read Full Review

Booked an airfare in September 2009 to fly to KL. Air Asia accepted payment through Paypal. Found out on 8 December that no booking was made. Numerous emails and phone calls were made to try and resolve the situation with no success. Missed my holiday with my mates and now can't get my money back. They refuse to reply. Can't give review a 0 but that's what they deserve.

For info, especially to JHB-SUB Travelers....
I have flow AA before, and the service is not good. Rude ground and aircrews were common. Food is OK, seat is quite cramped. The most annoying thing is the delay and worse, cancellation of flights.
Just been informed that AA had canceled ours (and all) flights JHB-SUB in January 2010. I made the booking In August 2009. Then, in December 2009, I tried to add in more pax for the same flight but not available to do so. In fact, I could not book… Read Full Review

Travelled from Australia to Kuala Lumpur and back with Air Asia. Checking in was a terrible experience. Waiting in a crowded budget terminal for close to an hour just waiting in line to check-in. Lucky we showed up 3 hours early. Our gate was changed, no explanation given. Got onto the plane, poorly cleaned. Seats were extremely uncomfortable and cramped. I'm 174cm tall, small build and my knees we pressed up against the seat in front of me. The comfort kit i purchased was useless, offered no… Read Full Review

I've flown with Air Asia a number of times both within Thailand and to Cambodia from Chiang Mai via KL. I have to admit that in ALL cases the reason that I've used them is because of cheapness in comparison to the alternatives. This flight was the first that I've flown with them long distance and I wouldn't recomend it to anybody except a cheapskate. The service was poor and unprofessional not befitting the length of the flight, compounded by poor seating, poor food, inadequate room and… Read Full Review

Never again, flew with AA from PER-BKK return. Our BKK-KL flight was canceled but no one bothered to notify us of the change, we were simply taken off the list and not re-scheduled on another flight. It was only by accident I picked this up because AA didn't contact us at all even though they had our contact details. Also our flight KL-BKK was delayed by 90min and we were not given an explanation or apology, this delay caused us to miss our connecting bus to Pattaya forcing us to take a cab… Read Full Review

I was denied access to a supervisor and was coerced to "change" an airline ticket when I just needed them to send me home. It is important to mention that this was a returning flight and therefore it was AirAsia Airlines to send me back to the originating country, which according to international law they are supposed to fulfill. It appears to me that this airline banks on the lack of knowledge of their customers' rights to impose its will and get money from the customers… Read Full Review

Congratulations Air Asia. My opinion is that you have revolutionised international air travel. You have minimised all the unecessaries. Your competitors must hate you. Are they the ones writing the poor reviews? My wife and I look forward to travelling with you again to Dubai in March. Your call centre can be a bit slow but just try Qantas, Thai, Malaysian - unfortunately, they are worse. The four aircraft we travelled on were immaculate - probably new. I have already recommended you to my… Read Full Review
