My son used to enjoy the late night from from Singapore to Kuching - because he can take a flight back after his work on Friday and go back on Sunday night. He can come home regularly but since Air Asia change it to the earlier schedule, he cant come home as regularly because it is no point spending so much - just for less than 24 hours back home. I booked months ago to travel in june from Paris to Kuala Lumpur. In january 2012 Airasia cancel all the flights from/to Europe. After this, is absoluty imposible contact with Airasia. AirAsia should charge their name to "Pick Pocket Airlines". This would represent a better description of what to expect. We flew with AirAsia on Feb.13, 2012 (Flight# FD3025) & Feb.19, 2012 (Flight# FD3024), BKK - HKT. Both Flights were up to one hour late. I booked months ago to travel on 3rd April and was told on 12th January that Air Asia are witdrawing from the route on 1st April. Tried to contact them on their internet chat room today but after 4.5 hours I was redirected to a questionairre asking if I was satisfied with their sevice. I will not fly with Air Asia any more! In the past I have travelled with Air Asia many times and I was fully satisfied. However, my last two trips with Air Asia were horrible! The problem is with check- in facility. Since air Asia has introduced the web check-in facility the problem has started. My flight was on 26th Dec. to Chennai, booking no. L7K24J. Flight was delayed for over 4 hours. Meal/drink voucher provided in compensation was only 100 THB, barely enough even to buy a drink in the terminal. The gate kept being changed during the delay so we got some unexpected exercise moving from one end of the terminal to the other. Of course the flight was booked on Air Asia's tortuously incomprehensible website in the first place. All in all, life is too short to deal with an airline like this. Traveling up and down Asia could be expensive, even with low cost airlines. I used AirAsia several times and, honestly, I will do it again. Probably because I did not have a checked baggage (only a 6 kilos trolley) I did not have to pay any extra charge for that and I did not have problems with lost items... I don't see why Air Asia gets such low ratings on here. It's a budget airline and well worth the price. I recently flew from Bangkok to Phuket and it cost me around 100 dollars for round trip. There are no free drinks or food but they do have them available for sale at cheaper than average prices. The main point that people are missing is that this is a BUDGET airline. Have just returned from just over 3 weeks in the Far East spent in 4 different countries. This was by far the worst flight we went on. We queued for about an hour to check in and were told when we got to the front that we were at the wrong desk. My actual flight was fine, more or less on time, reasonably comfortable, not too expensive. BUT I have a serious complaint. I paid for my flight using my Mastercard after the website declined my Amex card twice. Imagine my surprise to discover AirAsia billed me for the "declined" cards- three payments in total for one flight! If I hadn't been paying close attention to my credit card bills I might have missed it. It shouldn't be possible yet it happened. That was back in September.

I fly with this airline quite a lot because they are cheap, the hostesses are rude to say the least and it is definately like a cattle shed in the airplaine, if you can book correctly using their messed up website and arrive at your destination on time, i guess its ok. If you cannot book, you make a mistake, you loose your bags, you arrive late, watchout. Took AirAsia from Singapore to Phuket and return yesterday. Summary of review below:
Flight was on time.
Staff casual and friendly.
Baggage received in good order.
Seat request was met.
Price was reasonable.
Like the AirAsia system and the concept of pay only what you need and not what you don't need.
Perfect Low Cost Airline.
By the way, I worked for both European and Asian Airlines for 13 years and I must say Kudos and well done to AirAsia and Team.
Going to Bali next year by AirAsia.

Used Air Asia for our holiday to Malaysia. Made the bookings online and had no issues. Picked our seats and paid for luggage allowance. We checked-in online and printed our own boarding cards. The return flights from Stansted to KL came to just under £400 each, well over £100 cheaper than any alternative. We also booked separately for the internal flights at around £50 each return. The worst airline I've ever used. cancelled the flight one-sidedly and doesn't compensate anything to you for the changes you have to make and times you need to wait in the KL airport.
I don't normally leave comments.. but this I wanted to let all people so that they will not suffer like me. With the little savings you make, you receive 10 times worth stress and frustration. Customer care team never cares about customers, but just repeat same words over and over.

Beware..........there website is a nightmare. It's impossible to select and it keeps throwing you out. If you change any details at all, despite looking as if they've changed may not have as you have to selct confirm so what you see on the screen might not be what you have actually selected....woeful...

I have made FOUR attempts and waited in queues lasting in total FIVE hours to try to get a refund for overcharged baggage (nearly $100). Air Asia has an unethical advertising policy where discounted or @free@ seats are offered online, however, when a seat is reserved the quoted price to be paid is the standard price. There is no SOLD OUT banner to prevent confusion. Their phone service can only be described as utterly pathetic and frustrating. Don't even try to use it, you will need a psychologist afterwards.
