I can only agree with all the other comments here. When I bought this phone I bought it on the list of functions - and they are impressive (tri-band phone, radio, camera, video player, Internet access, etc., etc.). But having all these function is no use at all if you can't work out how to use them ...

I loved my Sony Ericsson P9901 for about a day. Then the problems started... I really really wish it worked properly but my problems are well explained by everyone else who has one. These phones are just not right at all.
Big software problems which causes the phone to lock up/freeze a lot.
    Takes ...

I really want this phone to be good, infact it would be nice if even average but it pains me to say that it is absolute Junk, its not even heavy enough to be a door stop. I've had mine for 2 months, I had a P800 before then Nokias in between. The symbian software seems so un intuitive, it's an absol ...

I have used Ericsson and Sony Ericsson phones for a number of years now (5 or 6). I have had the P800 and P910, both of which were great phones. So I was very excited when the P990 was announced. It seemed to deal with most of the small things the previous phones lacked. It had a very clear scre ...

My primary purpose of buying this phone was as a PDA. The back up and synch functions actually work this time which is a major improvement. But if you buy this phone prepare to be saddled with a software more unstable than a virus ridden windows 95. I think Sony shouldn't have launched this phone wi ...

Have been waiting for this Sony Ericsson P990i mobile for ages. Bought it as an upgrade on 02 for £120, not bad considering was a spare line I had with a low monthly spend. Certainly worth the money.

Found that not all the functions can be used without opening the hinged keypad which I fou ...

I have been waiting a long time to get the Sony Ericsson P990i and I am a little disappointed that in 3 weeks I have had 4 handsets - all with the same general problems. Clearly SE have released this product onto the market place without fully testing the new OS. Several problems!

    1)To use the c ...

The Sony Ericsson P990i is an excellent phone! I bought mine from mobileshop.com who to be fair, were excellent, ported my number and delivered the phone within 1 day. Phone was free, 18 month contract and £30/mo, on o2 with 400 mins and 100 texts. I think this was a bargain considering the ph ...
