The Resort Our group of 8 adults and an infant comprised 5 skiers (intermediate and advanced) and 3 boarders. Zermatt’s wide cruising runs on the glacier and narrower runs through the trees suited the skiers very well but there were quite a lot of linking paths that were unpleasant for the boarders. The scenery was lovely and snow conditions excellent. The runs aren’t very challenging unless you opt to go off piste. The runs labelled as blacks were more akin to reds in France. “fantastic first hand knowledge and experience of resorts”

I've booked through interactive resorts twice now and intend to do so again this season. Having visited many European resorts on snowboarding holidays and having worked in resorts for a couple of seasons before entering the real world, I'd like to think that I know a bit about the industry and have what you might call specialist knowledge of a couple of resorts, so I'm probably a bit harder to impress than most. “Agressive Sales Agents”

I am writing to in order to voice my disappointment in the methods that one of your sales staff (name available) has undertaken during the process of booking my honeymoon. I have been working with another company Ski solutions who had booked my wedding party into Zermatt for the week prior to this one. I have now managed to speak to the the Customer Services Director and he has dealth with my concerns. He has advised that it has been dealth with internally and provided a small amount of compensation.

He has been very accommodating and prompt in his reponses and has apologised unreservedly.

I do have to say that other than the one agresive sales person the rest of the staff and the service has been to a good standard.

“Be wary ....”

I would caution against using this agency. We were lead to believe that we were booking a bespoke holiday for our party of 15. However once we had paid our deposits, we were informed that the holiday had actually been booked via a large travel agent. For various reasons, our flight times were very important to our group and we were sold the holiday on the basis of mid day flight times from Gatwick.. Dear MrsRHerts,

I am writing on behalf of Interactive Resorts.

Thank you for your feedback, I would welcome the opportunity to respond to your allegations.

When we booked your package holiday, we did so in good faith. We confirmed the booking with provisional flight times and unfortunately the holiday operator (Neilson Holidays) contacted us two weeks later to inform us that the provisional flight times had changed. As you mentioned, they were changed to an 05.55 departure. Whilst we can completely understand that this was not the holiday that you thought you had initially booked, the operator always reserves the right to change provisional flight times until tickets have been provided. This is standard practice for any operator using charter flights. That aside, we could more than understand your frustration with this situation. We spoke with the operator and voiced your concerns on your behalf to try and find a solution that all parties would be happy with. Neilson were understandably apologetic about the change however they were unable to offer a more suitable flight time. We managed to transfer the majority of the party onto a later Birmingham flight at no extra charge (this would usually carry a £50 per person supplement) and have also offered to pay for a hotel for the remaining family taking the early Gatwick departure. We also asked Neilson if a cancellation and full refund of deposits would be possible as your group were understandably frustrated at the shift in departure time. However, whilst they understood, they were not in the position to refund deposits as they classed this change as a “minor change” which does not qualify for a return of deposits.

We did not provide false information as an enticement to book and we strongly refute any allegations of any wrong doing of any kind. All changes made to your booking were made by your operator, Neilson, who will be more than willing to corroborate all details above should you feel it necessary. We have acted in good faith at every step of the booking process, both before and after any deposit payments were made. Both Neilson Holidays and ourselves have tried our very best to offer contingencies in an effort to keep your group happy and we are sorry to hear that in this instance our efforts have not been successful.

“Skiing for the first time in 18 years...”

Having somehow managed to put off booking a ski holiday for 18 years I was slightly nervous of booking the right resort, chalet, ski hire etc. I needn't have worried as the staff at Interactive Resorts guided me through the process. It was great to talk to someone who had spent a season at the resort - not only did they give me detailed information on the skiing itself, but also on the best places to eat and drink for the equally important apres ski! “Great Chalets, Very Helpful, Would definitely recommend..”

This is the 5th time we have used Interactive Resorts and will definitely use them again. We have had 4 fantastic Ski Holidays through them, they have listened to our requirements and recommended various Chalets in France. I booked ski resort accommodation through this website. It seemed convenient at first until I realised Interactive were just agents. This turned out to be a good one stop shop allowing me to browse prices from different operators and I ended up renting a chalet from Powder White Ltd. The process was simple enough and the good thing is I was able to communicate directly with the operator after I booked which was better trying to go through the man in the middle. “Sales rep didn't provide us with all the information...”

Sales rep didn't provide us with all the information for the deal we were on. Ended up costing us another £130 in the resort. Their answer 'I don't think that any member of your party specifically asked for details of the offer at any time prior to your booking. Had you done so, you would have been informed that the deal does need to be applied at the time of confirming the booking and that special offers cannot be applied retrospectively'

My experience:
I booked my ski holiday over the phone. it was a group booking. all what I want to tell you all that if youre a foreign national who lives in UK need to apply visa for ski holiday, these guys will not provide document on time to get visa.

I had to cancel booking and cancellation fee of £1000.00 been charged from me. That totally they failed to provide document what I need on time. it was just a waste of money.

It seems to me that they have different memberf of staff for different resorts, and the staff have all worked in the resorts themselves. I recently returned from a week skiing in Verbier, which was booked through Interactive Resorts. It was a complete disaster since our chalet was over-booked, and two people from my group had to sleep in a room that is only suitable for small children due to a very low sloping ceiling. They had to crawl into bed and sit on the floor to get dressed since it was impossible to stand up!

<br/>Your original booking was based on sole occupancy of two chalet apartments but unfortunately one of your group members cancelled, which left you with 2 options:
<br/>
<br/>1. paying for the cancellation in order to keep sole occupancy which would have avoided issues over rooms
<br/>
<br/>2. reducing the overall holiday cost for cancelling a group member, which meant releasing a room to go on general sale and losing sole occupancy
<br/>
<br/>We advised you to go for option 1 so that you kept sole occupancy of the chalets and would avoid room issues, however you chose the 2nd option and we respected this.
<br/>We pride ourselves on our levels of customer service which includes your on-line client area featuring all information and correspondence relating to your holiday.
<br/>
<br/>The chalet rooms in question were clearly visible to you from enquiry through to final booking as you can see:
<br/>
<br/>Second Floor:
<br/>Bath/shower/wc
<br/>Room 5 - Twin/triple (two singles plus sofa-bed) under eaves with balcony
<br/>Suite 6 - Sleeps 2-4 Twin room with balcony inter-connecting to second twin room (low ceiling & skylight window) suitable for children
<br/>
<br/>Again, you chose to release a room losing sole occupancy and access to all the rooms in the chalet. You then chose to add another person to your booking after the room was sold to a third party which resulted in the under eaves twin room being used.
<br/>
<br/>We sympathise with your situation, because we are passionate about ensuring every single person who books with us enjoy the best ski holiday possible. Sometimes though, these things are beyond our control but we will continue to try and improve our service and that of our operators.

I have to say I had the complete opposite experience with Interactive I had a small issue when on my holiday (which was not Interactive's fault) I called them up while I was on holiday and found the staff to be extremely sympathetic and helped to resolve my situation very fast with a satisfactory result. I would book with them again in a second, in fact I will be next season.
