my husband and i really enjoyed our last visit ...last year. It was my husbands birthday again and i wanted to take him back as our last visit we really enjoyed. The food was very oily instead of a creamy sauce and my husbands steak was not done the way he asked (as last time but we didn't mind then) we had to ask for Italian music ...as it is an Italian restaurant ? The music was terrible....sounded like Oasis awful music playing... The toilets were dirty and not seen detergent for a long time if you look on the hand dryer in the very tiny toilet ..i couldnt work out how to get the soap out of the dispenser...probably because there was none ? I couldnt even move to look under the soap dispenser as it was that tiny the toilet. A real let down this time ..... The only nice thing we said was the lady waitress who was very bubbly and pleasant and couldnt do enough for us ...we left her a tip.....and said we probably wont be returning there again...unless they lower their prices and up their cleanliness..... it's gone very down hill .

The Italian Job, Urmston is one of my favourite restaurants, great for a family meal or special occasions! gorgeous food, brilliant service, staff helpfull and friendly!

Inflexible, infuriating, reluctant to accommdate to the point I will say I have been going for years and will not be going back. £5 deposit. I was told my 2 friends (a couple who have just had a new baby) who did not want to put down a deposit in case they had to back out could not be added on to the other 17 people who had paid deposits and if they did not attend deposit or not the group would be charged £10.
My friend argued with a waiter about a hair in her mushrooms. he said it was part of the mushrooms.
The food was not up to the standard I personally expected.
They would not deviate from the set party menu even with a couple of weeks notice - they dont have chocolate cake on the party menu and even though they had 3 weeks notice they would not accommodate even with a pre-order.

All 3 of us that went said we would difinitely NOT go again

The Italian Job in Urmston caters for large groups. Nice atmosphere downstairs and upstairs there is a disco after your meal, so no need to go anywhere else. Great if you are celebrating a special occasion. Be careful, I was overcharged by £15. Paid my bill at the end of the night so didn't really check it until the next day. As it was a large group booking didn't notice. When I went to book again, they were very apologetic and told me to mention it on the night and even made a note of it in the book. As it was only 3 nights before I didn't think there would be a problem, but they pretended they knew nothing about it and I also noticed they had scribbled the notes out. Quite upset with their attitude, although I was offered 1 free drink! Won't be going back in a hurry.

The Italian Job in Urmston always makes a nice meal. There is a typical range of pizzas, pastas and meat and fish dishes and they are accomodating to special diets. Generally you can have a 3 course meal with wine for around £20-25 per head. The atmosphere is always friendly and if you book in advance they do cater well for large groups.
