We booked our flights and hotel with Travel Republic. I received an email last week saying both bookings had been cancelled on CUSTOMERS request. I did not ask them to cancel my holiday. I am currently waiting for them to listen to tapes of when I have rang to proove I did not make this request. We are or should I say were due to fly Thursday!! I wll NEVER book a flight thru TRAVEL REPUBLIC again!
I booked flights/hotel to Gran Canaria thru Travel Republic on 21/09.
Due to depart on 12/10 @ 09:30 from Glasgow arrive 14:00 and ret 19/10 @ 14:55 arrive in Glas 19:25. Selected these flights because of good times and paid a premium.
Notified 5/10 of change to flight times as follows:- Dep 12/10 @ 18:55 arrive @ 23:40, Dep 20/10 @ 00:40 aarive @ 05:15.

These are hard to comment on as there is little the travel agency can do when the flight provider changes the times of a flight that is within the terms and conditions accepted at the time the booking was made.
<br/>
<br/>On this occasion, the flight was booked with ATOL protected operator, Teleticket, using a Thomas Cook airlines flights. Teleticket have a quite common booking condition for operators, that changes less than 12 hours are considered minor and therefore the option to cancel with full refund is not offered.
<br/>
<br/>This appears to have happened here. In the vast majority of bookings, little or no change to the flight times is made before departure, but unfortunately this flight was subject to a change and it has clearly inconvenienced the customer.
<br/>
<br/>We, as agents can do little when this happens, especially if the route does not have frequent flights on, and can only apologise on behalf of Teleticket for the inconvenience.

This company is a disgrace
I bought tickets and paid over 800 pounds
then received an email saying my trip was cancelled and that they were keeping my money
I am reporting them around the globe
For gods sake avoid this Company if you do not want to lose your money and your holiday
They refuse to even communicate - They say the booking was cancelled - if it was it was not by us!
Why would anyone cancel their own booking when they know they are going to lose their money

<br/>We are currently speaking to the airline in an effort to reinstate your flight.
<br/>
<br/>Your booking was confirmed and then two days later (1625 on 7-Oct), using the manage your booking facility on our website, a customer service request was created to cancel it. Our system shows this as being made externally, so the person that created it knew your booking reference and your name.
<br/>
<br/>As the flight was made at a non-refundable fare we cancelled the booking but were only able to refund the unused airport taxes.
<br/>
<br/>You then contacted us to say the booking should not have been cancelled. We take approximately 3000 bookings a day, and to date, I cannot recall a situation where something similar has happened. I am not saying there has not been an IT error, but would consider it most unlikely. I feel I had to say this to present the Travelrepublic side of the story.
<br/>
<br/>Having said that, let us try and get your flight reinstated, and then hopefully, apart from your obvious upset and concern, we will be back to the situation we were when you had just booked.

We have had exactly the same thing happen. Yesterday we had an email saying holiday cancelled and requested by customer. We did not request our holiday to be cancelled. We are currently waiting for them to listen to tapes of when we have rang to proove we have never requested that. We only purchased Theme Park Tickets through Travel Republic, so can't comment on the holidays. We ordered £1400 worth of Orlando theme park tickets, were told to allow 14 days for delivery and received them 36 hours later. I should have used them this year, the company I used this time is still claiming there are "delays in the US" and hasn't even received our tickets yet - we go in five days!!

We have used this company for the last 3 years and always have had a great sevice.We booked our transfers as a shuttle tranfer and have always got a small bus.We were so disappointed we were located a coach and to make matters worse we were kept waiting for a hour and half for one couple on the same flight.I know that was not the companies fault but to land at 9.30 and collected our luggage really quickly and not arrive at the hotel till 12,and not dropped at the hotel but at the top off the… Read Full Review

Dear Guest, I am not sure what has happened here. If you booked a scheduled flight with us you would have ben able to travel with your confirmation email. We issue e-tkts as an IATA agency and put the e-tkt numbers on your email receipt.

<br/>I am not sure about a two-centre holiday in Asia, but we may have booked two hotels for you. Transfers would not have been included unless they were specifically booked. Again, if you have an email receipt confirming this, it would have all the required information to allow you to take your transfer.

This company may well offer value for money but I will never use them again. They showed unbelievable UNRELIABILITY. I very carefully put together a complicated holiday for my family for a very special purpose - all the different companies I used turned up trumps - EXCEPT TRAVEL REPUBLIC. I booked a budget grade hotel & was surprised how efficient the Travel Republic Service was. It seemed so easy I thought there must be a catch. On the trip out, I overheard people at the Airport giving each other similar feedback. The discount helped re the Euro factor. They put a package together for us ie. flights, studios and transfers to Airport and the flight and studios were excellent. The was a slight problem with the transfers in Greece (but this was ResortHoppa`s fault and not Travel Republic). I am not even on holiday yet and I have already had a nervous breakdown. We booked 6 weeks ago and are due to fly out early sat morning 12th sept. We have been informed the hotel is over booked and they gave us another hotel which was in a comletely different area to where we wanted to be. We said NO to there chose and are now 4 days from going and we still have NO hotel but they do have our money. I will NEVER booked with Travel Republic again. I booked my trip to Zante through Travel Republic on the travelrepublic.com site. To put it bluntly, the customer service offered by this company makes me want to spit. The charges are high. I most certainly will not be using them again. An extra £10 savings through them comes at a much higher price later. For example, I tried to add a bag onto my reservation, and include the correspondence here:

My comment here would be that customers are advised when booking with providers who charge for baggage, that they can ad baggage at the time the booking is made. They are also advised of the cost of this. When the confirmation email is sent, this is reconfirmed. If customers decline to add baggage when they book, Travelrepublic will charge a small admin fee (&pound;10 in this, and every similar case) to amend the booking in the providers system, amend the customers booking in our system, and generate an email confirmation to the same effect. Then, when the provider sends us a revised ATOL receipt, we will post it to the customer, again to confirm the requested action has been taken.

<br/>I think &pound;10 is a reasonable charge for this work.
