Just returned from a 14 day stay at the Miray Hotel in Icelmer, Turkey. Was slightly worried as this is only a 3 star hotel and usually use higher, read reviews before left, 80% good, but worried about 20% bad. On arrival the reception was very friendly and helpful, had to pay extra for air con and safety deposit box, this totalled £100 for the two week stay, pretty standard price i think. Booked this stay to capistrano village , nerja spain as my grandfather had passed away , after a long and stressful journey we arrived at our apartment which was a totally different place to were we thought we were booking only to find ANTS everywhere , the bathroom was a total mess and smelt awful and then to find the cutlery was still filthy. will never ever use these people again ... If I could give 0 out of 5 for customer service I would...can I?

The value for money of our holiday did seem value for money but we didn't go so I can't comment any further.

We booked flights+transfers+AI accommodation online one evening. The following morning TR called to say the flights were an extra £10 pp - this was fine and we said yes (the T&C's state confirmation within 24 hours, prices subject to change) We received an email later saying flights were unavailable… Read Full Review

Travel Republic booked incorrect dates for our stay. We had to continually call them to try and sort out. Was promised calls back but we had to keep calling them. They did eventually organise another hotel, but only after trying to put us in a cheaper hotel. Would never use them again. Have only given 3 stars as hotel was actually quite nice. Couldn't travel in April due to the Volcanic Ash, couldn't contact anyone as all phones were down. Did get flights refunded 'Monarch Airlines' were great. Have since tried to sort out a re-booking or refund for accommodation with Hotels4u but just keep getting fobbed off. Just returned from a 7-day break from Luxor, Egypt through Travel Republic (Monarch flight from Gatwick + St Joseph hotel/half-board + transfer + insurance = £340). Booking through TR really saved me a bundle as the same package with big names like Thomson, Thomas Cook, Expedia would cost me £140 more!

I booked a trip to barcelona and id a fiar amount of searching before I finally plumpted for Travel Republic. I did this mainly beacuse they had the lowest price, but also becuase a friend on mine had also booked with them. Everything went well, the transfer was waiting for us and the hotel was amazing value. We booked several months in advanced and only had to pay a small deposit which was nice and we were able to pay our balance on the web site. Have just returned from the Selen hotel Marmaris Turkey and had a great holiday, but I just want to let you know that my hotel booked through travel republic was over booked, and we weren't the only ones. Eventually got our room the next day after we arrived. We also booked our transfers with travel republic and they were over an hour late for our pick-up, after phoning them twice they didn't seem to know what they wer doing. sorry travel republic won't be using your company again… Read Full Review

We are currently on a holiday booked last Christmas with Travel Republic, when we arrived we were overbooked, have had to move from place to place (4 times in 14 days) like gypsies, totally ruined holiday, all Travel Republic do is pass the buck saying it's not their responsibility but the local agents - they don't return phone calls and you can't even email them - we won't use Travel Republic ever again.

I've just had a tearful call from my daughter who has arrived in Turkey with her fiancee to be told by the hotel they do not have a booking. Travel Republic customer services told them to get in a taxi and go to the Imperator hotel in Fethiye town.
The Imperator Hotel in Fethiye changed its name 2 years ago, maybe its about time Travel Republic updated their holiday information even the magazines in my dentists waiting room are more upto date.

This should be sorted now, it appears they went to the correct hotel, but because the address showed Fethiye, the hotel turned them away without checking they were actually booked there.

<br/>The information we had from the accommodation provider (Holiday Brokers, part of the On Holiday Group) was that the hotel was in Oludeniz/Fethiye, which didnt help.

Complete and utterly useless company who have nothing better to do than spin a load of lies. I tried to book extra baggage allowance and extra legroom for our flights to Turkey but was told that as Holidays 4 U (Another never again company) did not announce their seating list until two days before the flight, I could not reserve it until then. I am sorry, we let you down there. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I have checked the info we have for H4U seating, and it is in fact blank, so whoever spoke to you must have been misinformed. I have corrected this to prevent it happening again.

I am absolutely disgusted with the (lack of) customer service and rude attitude from this company. I was unable to travel on holiday in April due to the volcanic ash, but have been totally ignored. I tried for 3 weeks to get through to them regarding a refund or to change my booking to another date with no success. There was no response to my emails, and I also sent a fax so I had further proof of trying too contact them. Absolutely no response at all.

Would never book with this company again had to make changes due to circumstances beyond our control Was charged £20.00 each time we had to make any changes we were charged £20.00 just to change a childs name even though the booking numbers and room types stayed the same,this was only done after having to make several long telephone calls as i could not get any reply to our emails… Read Full Review

We had a group of 7 that booked to visit Kavos in Corfu. We was a little bit apprehensive in booking with Travel Republic due to the bad reviews on here and also from other travel agents. Dawson and Sanderson advised us not to use them. But we did anyway, we recieved all our details for flights, transfers and hotels in good time and had no issues when we got to the airport. I had booked the Mal maison in Oxford for a weekend with TRAVEL REPUBLIC.CO.UK. Unfortunately our son was taken into hospital 5 days before our trip. I contacted the customer services department and explained our situation and they were extremely rude and unhelpful.
