Booked airport/transfer hotel. Return taxi never arrived. Told 3 weeks ago in writing that refund in post, still not received! Discovered today that they hav`nt even raised the cheque yet! Told only the MD can sign the cheque. They were quick enough to swipe the money off my card. Why cant they simply put it back on my card? Would rather have had the taxi I booked in the first place. I have used travel republic for holidays abroad about a dozen times now.never had any problems,this year i have 3 holidays booked with them.one with a flight that was booked with easyjet from east midlands,easyjet has now stopped all flights from east midlands.travel republic customer services were excellent transfered my flight to a bmi baby flight which easyjet gave as an option,but also changed the times of my transfer taxi without me even having to email to ask. also with no charge. last… Read Full Review

i would not book with them again, we booked a holiday with them to go to lyra resort hotel side turkey, it was booked 5 months before we we to travel, but 1 week before we were to go they rang and said the hotel was no longer available, they were very unhelpful, and quite rude when we rang, we had to do all the telephoning to try and sort another hotel,they eventually offered an alternative hotel, which was nothing like the one we had booked and felt like it was half way up a mountain, we were… Read Full Review

Hello guest, I have looked at all the bookings we have for Lyra Resort, and not one of them was changed before departure. We did have one that the hotel tried to downgrade when they presented themselves for check-in, but the customer called us from resort and we sorted it.

I booked for a 2 day break from 27th December in Devon which I had to cancel due to weather conditions (snow & ice) making it dangerous to travel with disabled mother. We were at the time of cancellation snowbound. I cancelled with the hotel who were very sympathetic and I promised to rebook when the weather improved. Hello, we do have a 14 day cancellation policy, but in these circumstances, we have been trying to get our provider, and the hotel to reduce the charges they impose on us for a cancelaation so near to departure.

<br/>We have heard today that the provider has managed to confirm with the hotel that you will not be charged for your stay.
<br/>
<br/>We have refunded your booking in full, and the funds should reach your bank within 3-5 working days.

I am currently in the process of pursuing my claim against Travel Republic through the courts.

We booked a holiday for 4 adults & 2 Children at the Samoa Hotel - Majorca

A very similar story happened to us: we booked with them a hotel in Egypt, but no booking was made when we arrived. Eventually, a local representative of the accommodation provider (a company that TravelRepublic claims is responsible for the booking) showed up and we did not have any alternative but to be taken to a different hotel. Same thing happened to my wife and I - we booked into the Pittodrie House Hotel in Scotland for a wedding through Travel Republic - we received our confirmation travel voucher by e-mail stating that Travco were our booking agent. When we arrived to check in - the Hotel had no record of our booking even though we had paid in full to Travel Republic.
It was no good trying to call Travel Republic as their offices were closed.

I booked two holidays with travelrepublic. No confirmations were received for the first. They then put the price of flights up by £135. I cancelled the booking. They repaid the cost of flights but are refusing to refund accommodation and transfers costs of over £400. This will be going to court as they cannot be allowed to operate in this manner. I booked a holiday with Travel Republic which i recieved confirmation from, two days before departsure travel republic contacted me stateing that the hotel was full and that we had lost our reservation. As we booked flights seperatley we still intented to go on holiday, travel republic then said they could change our hotel, if it was over the current price of the previous hotel then we would have to pay the difference.
