“Avoid at all costs”

I made numerous telephone calls and used their live chat to try to discover why my order had not been delivered. I was told it was being sent out express and I would receive it the next day. They told me that several times. When it still did not arrive after 3 weeks I opened a dispute with Paypal. I informed Sportshq I wanted a full refund but the online agent said they would only refund my payment if I closed the complaint with Paypal. “Are they still trading?”

Ordered two sweaters on about ten days ago still not received them. Telephoned spoke to sales rep who told me of technical difficulties. Emailed help desk three times no reply. Rang today their phones are not being answered. Went into Live Chat on their website left two messages. This should be called Dead Chat as it goes dead as soon as you submit your message. i am having much the same problems with them. I bought a new electric bike off them 3 months ago. the battery charger stopped working so i sent it back to them they emailed me on the 4th saying they had received it and it was with there tech department. it is now over 2 weeks later i have sent them at least half a dozen emails and they have not answered me once. in 10 years of shopping online this company is the worst by far that ive dealt with.

This company is a disgrace. I ordered a home casino set for a party event I'm hosting and paid for 3-5 working day delivery. After the item didn't arrive I contacted them and they said, sorry there was a mix up with our system. I explained the urgency of the item at this point due to my party date. This company is an absolute joke. My item was not only late but incomplete also. Now, problems occur with postage from time to time but the way in which my problems were dealt with has been nothing short of disgraceful. I ordered a golf umbrella on 2nd November with 3-5 working day days stated fro shipping. I received no communication and no item so on 12th November I called up and spoke to someone in their shipping department. UPDATE

They took my money for this order on 11 November but they are unable to give a Yodel Tracking number and Yodel have NO deliveries pending for my address. They have NO IDEA where my items are.

There is only one man working there (in Sales/Shipping/General Enquiries - same man answers the phone).

I have now found dreadful reviews of the Cyclmatic Electric Bike I have bought so, if I ever receive the bike, watch this space for the complaints!

Also, Sports HQ is a "Non Trading" company, as per Companies House website. They changed their name to S247 Plc on 24/10/13. Why are they still trading under the old name? Is this legal? I'm trying to find this out.

People knock Amazon (as do the media) - why don't they investigate this group of companies? They are obviously jumping from one trading name to another to avoid all the bad reviews. I can't believe the quoted revenue for this company is £16m - they act like a one man show trading from a garden shed!

Ordered over the weekend and paid for next day delivery, so expected delivery Tuesday. Received no further communication. I called them on Wednesday and was told they had had a problem but were now shipping items and I would receive it by Friday. I paid for a Saturday delivery and patiently waited all Saturday for my item to arrive, it didn't. The Sports HQ was open until Monday am. I bought a dog cage from Sports HQ, titled 'Confidence Dog Cage'. Arrived quickly, however my dog (a small beagle/terrier) destroyed the cage within minutes. Poor quality, metal, fixing's, etc. What annoyed me more was the customer service team, which were as poor as their products. Ordered an electric bike from them, it lasted 15 months now electrics have failed. Phoned company and was told that as it was out of the 1 year warranty its is up to me to pay for the cost of return at £50, plus i would have to pay for inspection and all repairs, as they would said i had to prove its not working, and not there problem. sent 3 emails to them as well still awaiting a reply, not holding my breath though, as this seems to be a company trait with them.
