I wish I had had the sense to read the reviews posted here before I ordered goods from Golf HQ (same place as sports HQ ) Ordered online paid for next day delivery My money has gone the goods havent arrived although the site tells me they have been shipped. Cant get through to anyone on the phone number, the live chat option is an even bigger joke you wait for ages for them to look into your order and then the session times out and youre back to the start. Did you order direct? If you used Paypal they will get a refund for you or Amazon will chase them. Finally inform your cc company. You should eventually get your money back through one of those means

“In liquidation ?”

I have used this company in the past and not had much trouble good service and prices. Brought a cyclamatic cycle &@£599 and it failed after 3 months and had to return it to the repair centre had it for about 2 weeks and said it was an issue with the battery bearing in mind I had to take it all to pieces to return it then wait in all day for a collection that didn't turn up so had to take another day off to wait for collection returned cycle and all was ok until a month ago when the same fault… Read Full Review

I have just managed to speak to someone on the sales line after 15 mins waiting and have been told the battery has been tested and is ok so are just going to return it. Asked to speak to a manager but been told that none available until tomorrow it looks like I will have to take it to trading standards as not being fit for purpose as there's no way I am risking sending the bike back again. The battery cannot be posted until tomorrow even though on there website it says order by 4 for next day delivery and it's only 2. I have already wrote the complaints letter so still have a few days left for them to respond. I would ask all to avoid this company in its present state at all costs unless you want to be disappointed and out of pocket.

As suspected I had no phone call from any manager and my return has not been despatched back to me. I cannot believe they are still sending me emails about products they have on offer. How are they allowed to go on trading.

Still waiting been told twice now it has been sent I have contacted citizens advice and they have asked for my address to be able to report it to trading standards. I think anyone who has been a victim should do the same . It looks like all the bad reviews have been since October when I believe they have ceased trading and are hiding another brand s247 plc . Cannot believe they are still getting away with taking people's money.

Did you purchase direct or through Amazon? If Amazon they may help you. If Paypal open a dispute, if not contact your cc company. The item is not fit for purpose. Good luck but it seems certain the company are in big trouble

Thanks for this I did purchase via paypal but it was a year ago my problem is I have sent it back for repair. Must of hit a nerve as I have had a response from the company. Let's hope they get it sorted as I actually love the bike when it works and really miss it in this wind and rain.

I ordered a power plate off this company £20 delivery. When it came it was to big, I asked could I return it they said yes with a £10 collection fee. They have given me lots of collection dates but never arrived to collect it. They fob me off on the phone with collection dates that don't take place they ignore my emails. im left with a £160 power plate I cant use and don't know what to do next. This company is really bad. I got told I would get a refund now, yet again another fob off. I have no alternative now but to take this further. No wonder this company is on watchdog. Log into your Paypal account and follow the links for resolution centre. Then give them as much information as possible. You are entitled to a refund under the "not fit for purpose " rules

“Avoid at all costs”

I made numerous telephone calls and used their live chat to try to discover why my order had not been delivered. I was told it was being sent out express and I would receive it the next day. They told me that several times. When it still did not arrive after 3 weeks I opened a dispute with Paypal. I informed Sportshq I wanted a full refund but the online agent said they would only refund my payment if I closed the complaint with Paypal. Ordered two sweaters on about ten days ago still not received them. Telephoned spoke to sales rep who told me of technical difficulties. Emailed help desk three times no reply. i am having much the same problems with them. I bought a new electric bike off them 3 months ago. the battery charger stopped working so i sent it back to them they emailed me on the 4th saying they had received it and it was with there tech department. it is now over 2 weeks later i have sent them at least half a dozen emails and they have not answered me once. in 10 years of shopping online this company is the worst by far that ive dealt with.

UPDATE

They took my money for this order on 11 November but they are unable to give a Yodel Tracking number and Yodel have NO deliveries pending for my address. They have NO IDEA where my items are.

There is only one man working there (in Sales/Shipping/General Enquiries - same man answers the phone).

I have now found dreadful reviews of the Cyclmatic Electric Bike I have bought so, if I ever receive the bike, watch this space for the complaints!

Also, Sports HQ is a "Non Trading" company, as per Companies House website. They changed their name to S247 Plc on 24/10/13. Why are they still trading under the old name? Is this legal? I'm trying to find this out.

People knock Amazon (as do the media) - why don't they investigate this group of companies? They are obviously jumping from one trading name to another to avoid all the bad reviews. I can't believe the quoted revenue for this company is £16m - they act like a one man show trading from a garden shed!

Ordered an electric bike from them, it lasted 15 months now electrics have failed.
