Do not commit any monies to this company!! On 20th November I ordered a Ping Jura golf top as a birthday present for a friend. This was ordered via Golfgear.co.uk, a SprtsHQ company. When by the 28th I had not had any confirmation of delivery, I emailed their "help desk" (laughable description). No response at all, so emailed them again on the 2nd December. i ordered a pull up bar at 15:45 and payed extra for next day delivery. i received no contact from them, so rang them the next day as i was waiting in for it. I was told it had not been posted as they didnt receive the order in time, so i asked for a refund on the next day delivery, as i had paid for something i had not received. I ordered a Christmas and birthday present on 1st December, giving plenty of time for delivery. The golf shoes have never arrived and the golf score counter was damaged. I have emailed and had no response and have telephoned where someone said they would ring me back - but guess what? They didn't! Update on the above. Paypal have now investigated my claim and refunded my money in full. Never received any correspondence from this company at all throughout and want to warn everyone against using them. I will be reporting them to Trading Standards too.

“Worst online company to deal with”

Ordered items and paid for next day delivery on Boxing Day. Only states order before 4 for next day delivery, nothing in small print to indicate that it would not be delivered if ordering on a bank holiday. Spoke to a man who was rude and unhelpful and did not seem to care. Totally agree his same thing happened to me however I have still not had my money back. Like yourself I saw a deal for a society and decided to buy. I again have used them on numerous occasions before but am very unlikely to do so again. This morning I received one of the items on the order and had not been told I would do so. I requested a full refund and they decided to send me something yesterday post dated the 8th. If they can send it this fast surely they can refund similarly quickly..... Total farce!

This my follow-up to "shambles" eventually I have received a refund for the value of the missing shirt but not the postage so I did lose out by £2.99 but to be honest I'm pleased this is over. Will never use this company again.

Do not use this website. The company charged my credit card 4 days after cancelling an order. I cancelled when it became apparent the order wasn't going to arrive in the promised delivery time. They have ignored emails, don't pick up the phone, all seems to suggest the company has gone under. 3 weeks after being charged I've finally managed to get hold of a "customer services" rep on their website's chat facility who along with confirming my money should be returned (fingers crossed!)… Read Full Review

I spoke to an advisor on the live chat of thesportshq after I placed an order before 2pm which I paid extra for next day delivery and the item was not dispatched that day so wasn't going to arrive the next day. I was amazed how rude and unhelpful he was and we spent around 30 minutes arguing over a £3 refund for the next day delivery service which they had not provided. Order took much longer to arrive than indicated. When I emailed chasing the order their reply after delivery blamed technical difficulties. Delivered order was incorrect because item ordered to be personalised had not been personalised. Did you order direct? If you used Paypal they will get a refund for you or Amazon will chase them. Finally inform your cc company. You should eventually get your money back through one of those means

I have used this company in the past and not had much trouble good service and prices. Brought a cyclamatic cycle &@£599 and it failed after 3 months and had to return it to the repair centre had it for about 2 weeks and said it was an issue with the battery bearing in mind I had to take it all to pieces to return it then wait in all day for a collection that didn't turn up so had to take another day off to wait for collection returned cycle and all was ok until a month ago when the same fault… Read Full Review

I have just managed to speak to someone on the sales line after 15 mins waiting and have been told the battery has been tested and is ok so are just going to return it. Asked to speak to a manager but been told that none available until tomorrow it looks like I will have to take it to trading standards as not being fit for purpose as there's no way I am risking sending the bike back again. The battery cannot be posted until tomorrow even though on there website it says order by 4 for next day delivery and it's only 2. I have already wrote the complaints letter so still have a few days left for them to respond. I would ask all to avoid this company in its present state at all costs unless you want to be disappointed and out of pocket.

As suspected I had no phone call from any manager and my return has not been despatched back to me. I cannot believe they are still sending me emails about products they have on offer. How are they allowed to go on trading.

Still waiting been told twice now it has been sent I have contacted citizens advice and they have asked for my address to be able to report it to trading standards. I think anyone who has been a victim should do the same . It looks like all the bad reviews have been since October when I believe they have ceased trading and are hiding another brand s247 plc . Cannot believe they are still getting away with taking people's money.

Did you purchase direct or through Amazon? If Amazon they may help you. If Paypal open a dispute, if not contact your cc company. The item is not fit for purpose. Good luck but it seems certain the company are in big trouble

Thanks for this I did purchase via paypal but it was a year ago my problem is I have sent it back for repair. Must of hit a nerve as I have had a response from the company. Let's hope they get it sorted as I actually love the bike when it works and really miss it in this wind and rain.

I ordered a power plate off this company £20 delivery. When it came it was to big, I asked could I return it they said yes with a £10 collection fee. They have given me lots of collection dates but never arrived to collect it. They fob me off on the phone with collection dates that don't take place they ignore my emails. im left with a £160 power plate I cant use and don't know what to do next. This company is really bad. I got told I would get a refund now, yet again another fob off. I have no alternative now but to take this further. No wonder this company is on watchdog. Log into your Paypal account and follow the links for resolution centre. Then give them as much information as possible. You are entitled to a refund under the "not fit for purpose " rules
