I have lost 2 stone in 17 weeks on this diet. it is common sense realy so easy to stick to, in my 17 weeks i lost every single week. you have to be prepared to cook from scratch which is much healthier and cheaper way of eating, also plan ahead. i am now a target member so can attend classes for free :)… Read Full Review

I have been going to sw for 7 weeks now and i will never look at another diet, i tried weight watchers and i hated it, i was always hungry and felt very deprived, i have lost a stone in 6 weeks which im really pleased with, i love it so much, i am always full and never feel deprived. totally amazing… Read Full Review

Pros: Healthy way to lose weight, can save syns for special ocassions or weekend if you want to, can eat normal food you can buy from supermarket so can be cheap, can fill yourself up on free foods, does work if stuck to.
Cons: Can get boring if you don't have the time/money to make up more imagitive meals.

I have tried almost every diet known to man/woman. I am 55 and have been following the Slimming World plan for 8 weeks and have lost 24lbs. At my first meeting I said it was impossible to eat this much food and lose weight. Well proved myself wrong. Don't feel fixated with food as there is always something 'free' to eat. i have attempted slimming world several times but found it very expensive having to buy the food, i also found trying to sin food that are not free impossible as the sins are different online and in directory by the time i have found the syn value i am that hungry i have eaten everything in sight, also the leader was not interested and seemed like she did not even want to be there, i have seen several people lose weight but also put it back on again within months, i wouldnt recommend this diet… Read Full Review

I joined Slimming World because I wanted to loose the 2.5 stones I'd gained by eating the same portions as my partner (a male, and over a foot taller than me!) over a 12 months period! I didn't want to spend my life counting numbers like Weight Watchers as I don't think this is a natural way to live. Ive been doing Slimming world online for 6 months, Ive had no group support yet I have managed to shed over 3 stone! I am thrilled to say the least. I have a young family so family friendly meals were key, I bought plenty of books for recipe inspiration and my kids have tucked into these meals with no fuss :)
I would recommend this lifestyle change to everyone! I now have the knowledge of what to put together in meals, I have never gone hungry and still managed to keep up my exercise routine… Read Full Review

i hve struggled with my weight for many years. tried ww and as with most diet plans if you stick to it they work and i lost 2 stones in about 6 months. however i gained 3 when i stopped counting points.started sw 3 weeks ago and have already lost almost a stone! i never feel hungry or guilty for eating. the plan is easy to follow.you can fill up and snack on foods that are readily available so i dont cheat! plus on ww i found it expensive becuse i would buy the ww range of foods that were low… Read Full Review

i have only just started slimming world lost 2lb first week dont feel hungry and eating loads , hope 2nd week will have some weight loss as well . love the scrambled egg and mushrooms before work and love pasta salad with either ham , tuna, crab meat. loads of yoghurts and fruit through the day, i have been making the slimming world chilli for ages too . som times strugle with having tea as not hungry

I have lost 5st in 46weeks on extra easy. lost 6lb first week and have never looked back. Going to group every week helped. Consultant was amazing. Ok. So my mother goes to slimming world and while she is on the diet it has been very succesful. I, however, have been slowly gaining weight since i left school.
Last WEEK i asked my mum to cook me meals based on the slimming world plan. I'm a pretty fussy eater so i have a very small amount of dishes but i dont get bored.
I am NEVER hungry on this plan and my snacking habits have been eliminated by the free fruit.

My leader at Garforth, Leeds group was so obese it was embarrassing and she admitted she did not follow the slimming world plan anymore.
Being able to eat as much of a certain food is not helpful as that is why I put on weight in the first place.
I stuck at SW for one month and lost 1/2 pound. I saw the leader in Greggs buying sausage rolls for herself and quit. I have since joined weight watchers and lost one stone in six months.

I have had a weight problem since I can remember. I always went to weight watchers, but this time I felt I needed a new challenge, so I joined Slimming World. At first I found it a bit difficult to get my head around it, but once I grasp the concept of not mixing protein and carbs (on original and green) and filling up on free foods it was simple and the weight has dropped off me. I've tried so many crash diets over the years losing masses of weight then putting it all back on. I yo-yo on and off slimming world but I've never put anything back on.
The plan is easy to follow and allows me to eat my two faves, pasta and potatoes. I think it's brilliant value for money, under a fiver a week when before I'd have been spending over twenty on takeaways weekly.

by far the most realistic diet plan ever! allows you to eat real food, every day and still lose fantastic amounts of weight. this is the best diet plan i have ever done, i never feel deprived and i can still go out for meals without feeling stressed; infact i went out for two separate occasions in my first week an still lost 4lbs :)

Joined on line and found it a bit hard to get the jist, but once i worked it out my first week i lost 2.6 kls and ate very well. Its all about making small changes in the way you choose and prepare meals and the best bit is i can organise my meals to suit my day. As i have also been a yoyo dieter my focus is not on losing weight, as in my diet lifetime i have already lost 6 times by body weight, butin planning how to keep it off once i get there.
