Slimming world is a fantastic plan to follow - so much less complicated that any of the other group slimming classes out there (believe me - i know) - the plan is so easy to grasp and the losses you can obtain are amazing if you are willing to genuinely think about what you are eating and how you are cooking it! Hi there, I have just been reading all the reviews on this and just wondered if anyone could help me get motivated. Like most women i've done 101 diets and took slimming pills but NO MORE. I need to lose it sensibly and hopefully keep it off. I am only small but just over 11stone (not too big) but need to lose 2 and i'll be really pleased.

I have been a true follower of slimming world for a number of years. Unfortunately for me I have not followed the plan for a while(slimming world is not a diet). and put on 2 stone. In previous years I attended a slimming world class in Yeovil and lost 2 stone (putting me at a happy size 10/12). Joined SW 4 weeks ago and have so far lost 18lbs, been slimmer of the week once and gained two shiny star stickers to reward my hard work!
If I'm honest you need a PhD to understand the diet - have read and re-read the book and still confused about coloured days and A's and B's. However must be doing something right as it's working!

Been with SLIMMING WORLD for just over 6 months now and in that time have lost a much needed two stone. Weight loss has been progressive, sometimes speedy, sometimes far too slow for my liking, but generally it is going in the right direction, which is Down. Yeye. only been there 2 wks lost 1lb first week and wasnt really sticking to diet. Had a night out planned so 10wkd and 4 red wines later was quite pleased with 1lb. stuck to diet religiously this week. After having two children within 2 years, I've gained a considerable amount of weight. I knew I wanted to lose weight, I just wasn't sure how. I've attended weight watchers before, all the point counting, weighing and having to buy their products quickly meant I lost interest. I did this diet over 10 years ago and lost 4 and a half stone! over the past few years the weight has slow piled back on. I decided to join again after my 30th birthday and looked at the pics that made me realise I needed to sort this out now! So I joined 13days ago. My first weigh in I lost 4.5lb! I lost 2 stone 2 years ago and some of it has gradually crept back on but only because I stopped going to the my group and sticking to the plan. I'm now having to lose 101bs, but cheerily, because I know it will work and that I will thoroughly enjoy the food. Also, I think that eating so much fruit and veg gives you lots of energy, so makes the whole process easier and makes you feel more in control. I have attended Slimmming World twice & will be back in January 2011 for what I hope will be the very last time. It really is an easy plan to follow, just a little open-mindedness and common sense needed.
I must point out that I lost consistently when I was attending, but each time stopped going (and stopped following the plan) through circumstance and my own stupidity, which has meant that the weight has gone back on.

Read some amazing poor reviews from people that have quit. Slimming World really works, and is easy to follow. I am a guy and although I have a girlfriend who is following the plan with me, I still cook plenty on my own.

Pros: Healthy way to lose weight, can save syns for special ocassions or weekend if you want to, can eat normal food you can buy from supermarket so can be cheap, can fill yourself up on free foods, does work if stuck to.
Cons: Can get boring if you don't have the time/money to make up more imagitive meals.

I have tried almost every diet known to man/woman. I am 55 and have been following the Slimming World plan for 8 weeks and have lost 24lbs. At my first meeting I said it was impossible to eat this much food and lose weight. Well proved myself wrong. Don't feel fixated with food as there is always something 'free' to eat.
