I have tried Slimming World twice and I found it quite good as I could eat all the pasta that I wanted on a green day and on a red day I could fill up on meat. I also liked it that I could still have a treat such as a take away or a chocolate bar, as long as it was counted in my points for that day.

I have tried swimming world twice and it did work both times. I know they do cater for 'shift workers' - BUT - I work for myself and am often unable to attend classes for up to 4 weeks at a time at certain times of the year, Bit annoying that we have to still pay for these missed classes.All in all would recommend though as their diet does work… Read Full Review

When I joined a local Slimming World group near to me, I was looking forward to meeting a warm friendly group, but I was wrong and I was quite disappointed with the consultant because she did not explain to me clearly about the healthy extras and how to use them or how to fill out the weekly diaries and I was left confused. Slimming World: I have been dieting with Rosemary Conley for about 3 1/2 years and although I have lost a lot of weight with them I found for the last few months I have been yo-yoing up and down and I didn't like the new diet coupled with the fact that the instructor was not very encouraging if you are having a bad time of it.

I've cheated a bit on the diet because I bought the books off the internet so I didn't have to pay every week to go to Slimming World but I just follow it exactly same and it really is as easy as people tell you. In the first 3 weeks I lost 16 lb! and 2 weeks after that I lost another 10 lb so I now weigh just under 15 stone. I've been with Slimming World for 3 weeks now and have lost 7lbs. I'd been on it before, but came off it due to not feeling the support I needed from the group (now a changed group!).
In case your wondering, I lost a stone in 5 weeks last time.
It's definitely worth the money, and definitely worth the commitment.

The Slimming World diet can take some getting used to, for example most fruit and veg is free on both days green and red, however peas, parsnips and potatoes are limited on the red days due to there high carb intake. Fundementally its a healthy eating plan which limits your Kcal and fat intake with out counting Kcal or fat grams. I found Slimming world eating plan to be terribly easy to follow. What I loved most about it is the fact that there is a strong emphasis on fruits and vegetables, calcium and fibre. All the vitamins and minerals really that allow one to be healthy and an avoidance of saturated fats.
