I Don't write reviews, But feel so angry with 123 reg, for the last 3 days they have said my emails and web site would be working in 2hrs, finally been told THEY had not been paying their bills, and my domain had been in quarantine and will take 3-5 working days to come on line, been fobbed off time and time again. support is rubbish… Read Full Review

“unhelpful and uncaring”

useless help support. Charged me £60 to get my web domain out of redemption the very next day after it expired (i admit allowing it to expire was my fault) every other domain registrar gives you a grace period. ignored my requests not to renew my webdomain with them after i stated very clearly i was leaving them and charged me anyway. “E-Commerce and Instanttraffic packages”

Looked like a good site to set up my own E-shop. Fairly easy to use but if you get stuck don't rely on their help desk to resolve it. they rely on stereotype answers. Having set up the site I needed to add search engines for customers to find me. Paid nearly £40 for the priveledge of them getting me onto Google and others after at least 8 weeks only to find that having been guaranteed by 123reg that I am now on the engines, I cannot trace my site by a search on any of the mentioned. “Terrible for business”

Its rare that I'm motivated to write a review on a company. 123Reg are cheap enough, you can pay via paypal and their control panel is ok. Their customer support is where the problem is. They are totally useless, and actually don't know what they are talking about half the time. They will lead you down the wrong path to sort a problem and waste your time. I agree with you completely - their telephone customer service is is appalling. They didn't know what they were doing half the time and their so called 'superior' was even worse - very, very rude and unprofessional. There are cheaper and better hosting companies - do your research first.

“Good easy to work websites.”

The websites I bought were ecommerce and site fushion and I am 100% happpy with them as I can alter them any time I want to the way I want them. I had spent so much wasted time and a lot of money on a previous website and host with them doing the changes which took months and was absolutely frustrating and costing me money at the same time. “worst hosting company i have used.”

Been with them two years and there services are terrible and the support is pointless and they do not have a clue what there doing. You ask a question and you get some reply that has nothing to do with the question. MAIN BAD POINT: They take money from your account whenever they feel like it...no asking or warning that you have a renew coming up they just renew taking £71.86 from your account. “error error error”

every day page error "Server Error 403 - Forbidden: Access is denied. You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied." This happens when one decides to map a site to the directory. “Excellent for me”

I have now had email services and support for 2 years from here. Unlike many of my friends I do not suffer problems with emails usually and on the few occassions I had no service they were able to isolate the problem. Their explanation yesterday helped me insist to the BT call centre thst my settings were fine and made them fix their problem instead of passing the buck. “Terrible Customer Service”

This hosting company is good, if very expensive, while you don't need their help. Their customer service office is terrible. Staff didn't know what they were doing, a senior member of staff was rude and unable to deal professionallly with the problem at hand. Furthermore, writing to head office is a waste of time because they don't bother to reply. I have reserved a few domains with this company (with no hosting) and recently I've discovered that shockingly 123-reg are using these domains to advertise about themselves : one particular in-your-face add was quite shocking "123-reg : .xxx is coming soon !" taking half-a-page on each of my domains. I guess there are killing 2 birds with one stone doing that : free advertising for themselves and flooding the web with back links to themselves to manipulate search engine results and appear… Read Full Review

123-Reg forgot to charge me a set up fee when I bought a hosting package, but wrote some time later and tried to charge me, admitting it had been their mistake. “Used to be good, but now indifferent at best”

We signed up with 123-reg in about 2002, in the days when they were still MagicMoments and offered a relatively good hosting and domain reg service - far better than what we were getting with Easyspace. After about two years we decided the hosting wasn't flexible enough for us and had become overpriced for what it offered - and support was very patchy - so we shifted away. I used to use 123 reg for their cheap domains, which were farily good value for money, coupled with a 3rd party host. However, now each time I use the site, which is usually to transfer domains away due to the shoddy service, the site crashes every single time without fail. I recently tried their averagely priced hosting, because of the offering of a cheap SSL cetficate. “Shocking!”

Ive had the unfortunate experience of using 123 reg (or trying to use)for my shared web hosting. Basically they offer cheap deals but make it so completed to use and setup that the value for money goes down the drain. Their customer support consists of some person in a small shed somewhere who never actually answers the question you have asked, then they close the support ticket and you have to open a new one In the end I became so frustrated with them I just all my domains to a new company… Read Full Review

“The worst hosting company I have ever had the miss...”

Please take heed of the negative reviews on this site - they are all true! I have been with this company 4 months now and the website has been down six times!!!!!!
