“bad customer service! Inflexible service and policy”

I've purchased a domain and as a new client, I'd no reply when trying to reach customer support. On live chat, the system is extremely slow and constantly asking you to be patient. I've waited for 10 minutes for someon to answer my question. I've asked if I could change a letter on my domain and they're reluctant and didn't even looked into refund my money so I could buy another one. “Does the job well”

I am using 123-Reg to currently host a VPS server, which serves as a database server, sending radio station data to an mobile client application. To date, the VPS Server has worked with no problems, it has been running now for around 3 months and so far so good. I check the functionality regularly from with the mobile client, and the speed is always very good - the data fetch is nice and punchy - very much a requirement for my application. “Good Hosting Excellant support when needed”

“If using wordpress do not use 123-reg”

My wife is a web designer and we have had nothing but trouble with 123-reg with wordpress. They "do not" support it and my website takes ages to load up. Customer services at 123-reg is fine, however their hosting for wordpress is terrible. They say they can host wordpress, even says it on their website, but they cannot. “Do not use if using Wordpress”

Unfortunately I've had the misfortune of having to host 2 wordpress sites with 123 reg and both have been painful experiences. On both occasions it was out of my hands in the choice of hosting server. On one of the sites I've requested they change the server twice and on the other once. They're still slow but no where near the issues I was having to begin with. Working as a web designer my time has been wasted away trying to battle to get these to work. “Excellent support”

I had an issue while transferring in a domain from another registrar. I posted support request and actually ignored the response that came only an hour later because I assumed anything that quick would be a formula response telling me how important my happiness is to them. In fact it was a message from Kiranpeet explaining the error and that he'd manually modified the records. Everything fixed. “Horrible Hosting Service - Great Support Staff”

Their no frills package is certainly low cost and attractive, but once you join you quickly find out the small print makes it a scam. As a private individual, if you want to opt out of whois - you pay ££ If you want to send a newsletter to more than a few users - you pay ££ (if you don't they suspend your account for 24hrs) ...etc. etc.... “Constant problems with 123-reg”

Every few minutes of every day for the last month the system has crashed with 'error reports', 'you have timed out' messages (after about 90 seconds of logging-in for the 100th time...) “AWFUL been hacked twice”

I would avoid like the plague, their service has been terrible from start to finish, when first talking to the help desk the guy that answered sounded asleep and knew less than me and did nothing the next guy told me it was not possible to hack my website which was what had happened. “Helpfull support team”

This was the first time i had to deal with an issue from 123-reg. Knowing what most support centre waiting times are like, i was expecting to be on hold for a long time. This however was not the case. The phone was answered promptly and was passed further on to the support centre quickly. Andrew was the name of the gentlemen who dealt with this query and he was most helpful. He was polite, professional and dealt with everything. This is the way support centres should be. Went with them on there full package, found them to be good at first then went with there e-commerce package big mistake you cant upload anything easily spent weeks uploading our 250+ products then found some we cant even put up because we are limited to the amount of versifications you can make even on there top package there ebay upload is a joke only works if your product is simple no different sizes or colours. we have lost so much bussiness to them its unreal go with someone better like… Read Full Review

“123 Reg and Pipex = Poor Service”

When I first started using 123REG they were great, no complaints whatsover and I always recommended them. BUT, and this is a big but, since being taken over by Pipex I have found their service to be very poor indeed. The time taken for 123REG to register my most recent domain was rediculous, and there are many customers with the same problem.
