“Terrible support when it matters”

OK, 123 reg are cheap so you don't really expect much support...but even given that it's terrible. Granted, their 1st line support can be good, excellent even - if it's a simple question. But that's not when you need it...you can find that sort of info out on forums across the internet. Where support is absolutely critical is when you have your website hacked, or something goes wrong with one of their apps etc.....then their 2nd line support comes into play - or rather it doesn't, because… Read Full Review

“Charges for services not provided”

Customer service is awful and business practices are even worse!! Charge for a hosting service 2 years after the domain/hosting was transferred away from them!! Asks for domain renewals that have also been transferred away!! So you can understand why they were transferred away. Years ago they were a cost effective solution now they squeeze money from where they have no rights to try and squeeze it. Best avoided it in my opinion… Read Full Review

“Stear clear”

“123-reg are AWFUL”

I have been using 123-reg for about 4 years and I feel like a fool for continuing to use their shoddy service. My website often disappears from view. The bandwidth speeds are awful. Their control panel is AWFUL. They are stupidly overpriced for the services they offer. My biggest complaint is their auto renewal and cancellation services. To turn off auto renewal is a complete faf. To remove a payment option requires you to locate the correct page and instead of simply selecting remove payment… Read Full Review

“123 Reg as bad as it gets”

In 3 months our VPS has been down 5 times. They are the times we know of. Once for over 18 hours. Submitting tickets will eventually sort of fix the problem. The people answering the tickets don't appear to possess any technical skills what so ever. The reasons for the outages and other problems (45 second page load times) started to be reused. “Cancellation”

I cancelled with 123.reg and signed up with Clikpic where they had the cheek to take out £72.00 out of my account for just the hosting!!! I signed in and emailed them asking for a refund and they emailed back saying they had responded on the site. I cannot find the reply on there from them, I presume that they are hoping I will just give up (most probably what most people do). I have contacted my bank and I will be contacting Watch Dog. Easy process, done it thousands of times. But would you believe that 123-reg were in the process of doing an internal transfer of my .com domains. “Bad service, awful customer support - steer clear!”

123-reg managed to mess up my domain for I'm not even sure how long, an error that was entirely their fault. Despite paying to renew my domain name (and both payment and receipt received) the renewal did not go through to the registry. It wasn't until I had some very angry people contacting me that I realised neither my emails nor website were working. “confusing prices”

Just spent 40 mins on the so called customer support - having registered a domain name with 123.reg I was about to confirm payment for webhosting when I noticed the price on the payment page was different to the price on the confirm bank details page. Then while I was waiting for a reply via customer ticket system, I re checked and the price and it had increased again. “Cram Servers with as many customers as possible”

Website very unfriendly and difficult to navigate. Customer service is very poor - actually it is the worst CS experience I have ever experienced!!! They are telling me that my issue is to do with Wordpress and not them....and don't seem interested in helping me to resolve the issue.
