What have they done to them? They bear little resemblance to the former flavours, All soft centres are very similar in texture and taste and hard to distinguish true flavours. Each one used to be different in taste and texture and had a real flavour, Very disappointed in what they have done to them and will not buy again. The only one with anything like the original is the toffee and the purple brazil nutbut even that was disappointing… Read Full Review

What has happened to Cadbury Roses?
They've changed all the packaging, which is fair enough, but it now looks a bit cheap.
The box basically contains a variety of caramel/fudge type chocolates. In fact 7/10 chocolates have a caramel type centre. This is appauling considering the other 3 are creme ones and a dairy milk.
What happened to variety, what happened to having a chocolate that isnt just cheap chocolate filled with a sugary mess. Roses used to be a special treat/gift, now you might as… Read Full Review

Cadbury is screwing you over when they suggest that Roses contains much variety. Unless they mean varied combos of caramels and toffees. They have been severely reducing their ingredients list over the years - although last year, there was a delightful pink wrapped chocolate/wafer/biscuit one introduced, this year it has vanished. Apart from the orange and strawberry creams (which unless you have a unique family, will be the first to disappear - and quickly too, as there isn't many of them… Read Full Review

I purchased a box of roses and have been passing them round the office and all of us agreed that they were disgusting and women love chocolate! What has happened to that great creamy milk chocolate taste of Cadburys? These roses taste very cheap, artificial and bitter not what I have come to love about Cadburys. To be honest they taste like some sort of laxative. The worst one has to be the Golden Barrel. Dont waste your money
An office of former Cadbury customers.

Cant believe it, just recieved a box of roses after having some friends sat down to enjoy with a nice cup of tea and they are appalling, the taste texture everything has gone down hill, just like a ball of disjointed sugar, dumb yanks great at screwing over quality and heritage plus a damn good chocolate, never to be purchased again or even eaten if recieved free!!!… Read Full Review

ok for people who don't know any better. Americans brought up on Hershey-rubbish, simple folk and those with deficient taste buds. Those of us who know what Roses used taste like are disgusted. i don't see how it's not false advertising to wrap these things up in a similar shaped box and call them Roses when they're really not....i've written to Cadburys… Read Full Review

Horrible this year. My mum and my brother and his wife also bought the customary tin of roses this year for christmas family treat and all of us agree HORRIBLE. Won't be buying easter or next year no matter what the price. I agree with the reviews that say they are full of caramels and not the same treat they were from the years gone buy. Tastless cheap tat. Yet another thing in life thats changed for the worse… Read Full Review

I am extremley dissapointed with the roses this year, all the chocolates seam to be in some form of caramel there is no variety at all (boring) normally I could eat near enough the whole tin to myself this time I am bored after 3 chocolates. Also after investigating I have found that cadburys have forgotten to put the hazelnuts in the hazelnut whirls, if I just wanted plain chocolate I would have just purchased A BAR OF MILK CHOCOLATE not a tin of roses. Even worse than the missing hazelnuts… Read Full Review

Have to agree.....What has happened to Cadburys Roses...first time in a few christmases I have had them, but they were so disappointing! Gone are the delicately wrapped and individual sweets, replaced by chunks with caramel in! I know they are available very cheaply but I would rather pay the extra few quid to bring back the bournville, coffee creams etc, the old fashioned design of sweets and wrappers. They seem to have got bigger and generic with less choice. Not good. I agree with the… Read Full Review

Love em love em love em!!!! Not Christmas without them!!! In fact I shouldn't recommend them to anyone so there are more for meeeeeee!! The hubby and I have resorted to separating them into types then sharing them out equally so there are no arguments, and our little boy has plenty of storage tins!!… Read Full Review

We have just opened a 975g tin of Cadbury Roses.
I was really looking forward to trying some of my favourites when I noticed they have changed the wrappers yet again. Not a problem in itself but, No sign of a menu in or on the tin either.
If anyone from Cadbury is reading this What happened to the coffee creams, bournville plain chocolate and the praline??? Could do so much better 2/10… Read Full Review

i was very disapointed at the selection of the chocolate we recieved in a 975 gramme of roses bought at morrisons , there were none of my favourites and the only ones i could eat were the hazel whirls....which didnt contain any hazelnuts at all and there were only 3 in the whole tin.very very disapointed… Read Full Review

Cadbury have changed Roses to such an extent that they are now an over-sweet poor quality chocolate-vegelate with unappealing fillings the majority of which appear to be toffee in some form. I will never buy them agai. Very disappointing. Cadbury deserve to be bought by Kraft and converted into pure junk… Read Full Review

There is nothing better than spending saturday night in the company of Mocatta's, Strickly Come Dancing and a tin of Roses. So how disappointing it was to find that we were happy with only 2 out of the 3 saturday night pleasures! It was the Roses which we were all disappointed in! Please, Please Cadbury's bring back the range of chocolates which made Roses our favourite luxury, or else we will have no choice but to turn to Quality Street!… Read Full Review

A cost cutting measure too far!
Very disappointing - Many of the best Cadbury Roses chocolates are gone, no praline, truffle, dark chocolate, almond or nougat (or coffee).
I guess this has much reduced the ingredients list to increase their profits, but the result is an unappealing mixture of flavoured sugar with a thin choc coating… Read Full Review

I couldn't wait to get my tin of Cadbury's Roses. It had been 18 months since I had some. For my birthday my Husband brought home a Tin of Roses from the UK. Much to my disappointment, at least one third of the variety was no longer in the Tin. I searched for the praline, the nougat, orange crisp, round toffee... and many more... And the wrapping has changed too... No more ironing out the foil wrappers - hey, that's part of the pleasure. Boo Hoo Nestle. I can't believe we paid full… Read Full Review
