“Too many Double Deckers”

★★★☆☆

written by Katykins710 on 08/01/2024

Far too many Double Deckers in the box now , I was disappointed with it. Not enough of the Cadbury Chocolate Bars or the Caramels and shame the Wholenuts were stopped.

I opened the sealed box and the normal cadburys rapper on the top was open and had nothing in it . IT WAS EATEN!

“Favorite Brand”

Best chocolate to have for timepass. I love Cadbury heroes very much. Taste is yummy and full of chocolate, melts easily. Quality is good. Quantity is also great and worth the money. Recommended to friends and family to try it once.

“Cadbury Heroes”

★★☆☆☆

written by wyPage233 on 04/11/2015

Disappointed with the selection. The chocolate eclairs have no place with the so called heroes. What's happened to the crunchies, the flakes and the picnics glad I opened the container now and not saved them until Christmas. Will buy some Thorntons instead for Christmas

“Choc-shock-horror!”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 03/01/2014

Lured as we were to buying the 410g pack of Cadbury Heroes by the promise of an extra 20%, if our team here in the office had known that it was an extra 20% of a disappointing selection of childish rubbish (Fudge); remnants of grannies' handbag (Eclairs); and new-fangled-nonsense (Twisted) making up half of the selection, we would never have touched it. Having sent someone hapless into the night to fetch such a disappointing array of sweets, rather than berating them for not looking at the side of the box, we decided to take a look at some of the other products that Cadbury are so well known for. They could have had a Crunchie, a Boost, Fruit n' Nut, Whole Nut, Star Bar or a Whisper for goodness sake! They're not exactly short of choice for well-loved choccie-products! Very disappointed Cadbury, our faith in your choc-delights has been truly shaken.

written by on 01/07/2013

Bought these as presents for 2 chocaholic boys .... I didn't think to check contents ...as I have always found the 'old'Heros were great .. WHAT a disappointment .... (Cream eggs are low on appreciation list ... We can all live without frankly)... No crunchy ??? All rather samey & dull ..... A re think please!!!!! The kids didn't even seem really very bothered.... Which is unusual for this family where chocs are considered weekend breakfast treat !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!""!!!!! Come on ... Cadburys should be able to do better!!!!!

“Unhygienic and horrid”

★☆☆☆☆

written by alicetgibbs on 25/12/2012

Opened my pack of heros to find that there was no wrapper on some of the sweets?! Either they were put In like this or not properly wrapped. I find this unhygienic and as a result will not be eating any of them and will be sending a formal letter to cadbruys about this issue.

“Where are the picnics?”

★★☆☆☆

written by on 20/11/2012

Very disappointing that the picnics have been replaced by eclairs??? If I had wanted eclairs I would've bought eclairs. Also miss the crunchies too. Heroes much poorer for the changes. Won't be buying again

I agree! The crunchie bites were the best, not buying again if they don't reinstate!

“A GREAT little treat!”

★★★★☆

written by on 09/06/2012

I thought this was really great. it has a lot of variety and a great amount of sweets. I think it is a great ting to share with family and friends as it gives everyone with different tastes a chance to eat it also it is just the right size as there isn't to much or to little to eat. There is enough for quite a big group of people and it stops you having to much. I think it is a great product that is always ready if you have it on hold to make a whole house hold happy. i think that the labeling told me everything I needed to know and didn't hold anything back. I would definitely buy this product again just because purely I have no complaints and it just kept us all satisfied. In fact I have bought this product many times and have had many people give it to me because it is simple an all round grous pleaser! Heros are just great!

I agree with a lot of the other reviews and think that Cadbury's Heroes this year are a total disappointment. We miss the inclusion of Crunchie, Picnic and Dream and find the Eclair, ridiculous Creme Egg and Bourneville very unsatisfactory replacements. Please bring back the original selection! Or at least add some Whole Nut, Fruit and Nut miniatures.

Mars Celebrations far superior this year and I am a Cadbury chocolate fan.

Well , I actually am quite lucky as my favorates are there. Exept I don't like creme egg twisted , ergh , but the bornville is there which I qite like but I think I prefer Celebrations because I always get a Cadbury selection pack for xmas and that is enough cadburys for me! I prefer a selection.
I don't like the fact that you open the tin and it is HALF EMPTY I thought cadbyurys was a glass and a half (lame pun...)

Totally dissapointed with Heroes. Thankfully we opened these before Christmas as a treat for the weekend. What the blazes is an eclair doing in this selection? Where's the Picnic? Will not buy these again. Total let down from Cadburys. Feels like a bit of a swizz.

“Well done Cadburys Miniature Heroes, you have joined...”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 08/01/2010

Well done Cadburys Miniature Heroes, you have joined all the rest of today' chocolate selection manufacturers, substituting the interesting flavours, Crunchie, picnics etc with the sickly sweet, soft centred (twisted creme egg) and mundane bournville, not to mention chocoalate eclairs. There is now nothing in the heroes box that our family, or extended family like, I won't be buying them again, Toblerone or Bendicks for us in future as they haven't changed their identity. What is the point of messing around with a winning combination, if the reviews are anything to go by, you have lost a lot of customers, never mind, I expect you have saved a few pennies, hope it was worth it!

Bitterly disappointed with the replacements in Cadbury Heroes for Dream, Time Out & Picnic. Why could they not have had just a wider selection instead of taking chocs away fro the new addition.

on the box, it says 'occassionally, it is necessary to replace a particular chocolate with another of an equally high standard.'
fair enough. but replace it with a particular chocolate of an equally high standard.

picnic has gone - who cares?
but we are left with bourneville - if they are trying to market this at dark chocolate-lovers then i think they are failing because usually i like dark chocolate but i find this watery and disgusting - and eclairs. what the heck were they thinking? eclairs?

and ... crunchie has gone?! they were everyone's favourite.

has this world gone mad?!

written by on 31/12/2008

Surely the point of Cadbury Heroes is that they are miniature versions of our favourite Cadbury bars. Chocolate Eclairs are not a miniature version but a sweet in its own right - it has no place in a tin of Heroes. I feel the introduction of Bournvilles and Eclairs are a blatant cost cutting exercise. Heroes are now banned from our house.

written by leepaul on 26/12/2008

I was very disappointed when on Christmas morning i opened my box of miniture heroes and discovered there were no time outs or crunchies! and a new bournville chocolate that i cannot stand! I did not see any word that these had changed when ever they were advertised on TV, it seems they were very clever not to advertise the fact as they may not have sold as well! I wont be buying these again, think i will have to buy celebrations.

Bring them back, ban the bourneville. I don't care if it's cheaper to make-I think they are shooting themselves in the foot because no-one will buy cheap, horrible dark chocolate or icky eclairs.
