I've only ever owned Nissans, but lets face it, the Maxima was supposed to be removed from production. Because of demand, it will come back with a new face lift the way the Altima did. The 2002 SE is a ton of fun and with the bose sound system it's amazing, but for 5 grand less you can get a v6 Acco ...

I bought a 2002 Nissan Maxima SE, black with grey leather. I just turned 30 and wanted a car I could keep until my late 30's. I wanted something fast, yet practical and reliable. I test drove a BMW 325 and didn't like the Civic feel of that car, even though it had more luxury and rear wheel drive. ...

I test drove a Lexus IS300, BMW 3 series, an Audi and an Acura. The Nissan Maxima SE wins hands down for all the good points I mentioned above!
It's also worth every penny for the unbeatable price tag!

The Nissan 2002 Maxima SE is a great car at a good deal. But if this thing can't beat out a pontiac Grand Prix GTP, then it loses on both ends. Not enough luxury and not enough quickness. Remember, speed kills.

I love the kick in this Nissan 2002 Maxima SE car. The stereo controls in the steering wheel and the keyless remote that allows you the lower the windows is a nice touch. I love blowing the doors off of the Lexuses and Acuras that I encounter! :-)

Although I have always owned Nissan's, this is my first Maxima. It's a 2002 Majestic Blue, with a sunroof, wind deflectors on the sides and for the sunroof. It's a very classy sports car. The Maxima SE is a fast car with great suspension. In my opinion Nissan's are the best!

A maxima is a nice performing car and is well worth the money. I'd take a bmw or mercedez anyday over a maxima because the 5k or so is worth it. When you drive a bmw and a nissan, you'll know the difference in prestige and the feeling when you are driving.

I traded in my 97 SE for a 2002 Nissan Maxima SE car with all the trimmings. I drove the 3 series and 5 series BMW and this car drives better and for way less money, plus you don't have to dump money into Nissans like BMWs.
The power is more than adequate. I chose a metallic dark blue one with li ...

I just got my Nissan Maxima '02 SE. Great car. Hopefully my wife won't wreck it. We had a 92SE and i wasn't worried, but now it's a different story. This thing is way too fast for a family car. Love the stirling paint job. Rims are OK, I would have rather had the ones of of GLE. Ride quality is good ...

I purchased my 2002 Maxima GLE in December and already racked up 3200 miles. This is my first Maxima and I love it! I looked at the Altima several times before settling on the Maxima. The Altima is a great car, but it's a poor man's Maxima. The Maxima's performance, handling, and interior qualit ...
