I ordered online a women's suit on sale and went to the Liverpool street shop for shortening the sleeves. The tailor made a huge mistake and one arm is one inch shorter than the other. I ordered Adele coat online yesterday Thursday, 2nd of August at 7pm and requested the next day delivery and paid extra for it.The next day at 8.30 am i received an email saying 'we are please to inform you that your order has now been despatched via curier.Your order will be delivered within 1 working day via the curier and the driver will require a signature on delivery'. I bought a black Julie coat from Hobbs Covent Garden store in January sales this year. This was my first Hobbs item. I just wore this coat once and when I came back home in that evening, I realised there were some vertical marks on its back which did not go away when I touched it. I bought a dress in Hobbs recently. The service in the store was excellent but after two wearings the fabric of the dress had holes from a pulled thread. A lovely girl was more than helpful once I told her I wanted to purchase 3 suits. Once home, suit 1, the zip bust straight away and returned for exchange. Suit 2 has been exchanged once as the trouser lining has completely ripped. The lining has all ripped again , but am fed up with what feels like continuously returning. I love Hobbs clothes. Made from quality fabric (A lot of pretty skirts made from wool and shirts in silk), they are classy and classic pieces that stand the test of time, and sometimes make me feel like a princess, nevermind posh (although that wasn't the intended effect). I am 25 and granted some of the clothing are a bit dated for me, but I can always find some that appeal.

With the wife having spent over £1500 in the Edinburgh Hobbs shop in the last month, I can safely the purchasing experience is excellent, the returning experience is, however absolutly, without doubt, awful.
I returned 2 items today for the wife, and was made to stand and watch for 15 minutes whilst the assistant, and manager both tried a d-fuzz-it comb, to try and show there was no problem.

I bought a pair of trousers from Hobbs. First time of wear the hems came down. Second time, the back and left side seam split. Now the waistband seam is coming apart. Certainly not good value for money.
They have been returned three times for repairs. I wrote to customer services at Head Office to complain about the quality of the fabric and workmanship and got a very dismissive reply.
I would never shop there again for anything nor would I recommend Hobbs to anyone else… Read Full Review

Hobbs (as most women will know) has been around for ages. It seems to be very *safe* when it comes to styles and fabrics, nothing outlandish here.
The clothes are gorgeous and well made but shockingly expensive for what they are. I'd prefer to pay more for a designer brand than pay full price for some of Hobbs' clothes.
In the past though, have bought a good quality sleeveless vest top (wide straps) in black which although plain is very good quality and an emerald green short sleeved fine… Read Full Review

Quality garments in beautiful fabrics with a spectacularly good finish. The attention to detail makes every garment (and accessories) well worth the price tag. They frequently have good discounts which is usually when I buy!

I love Hobbs, as you can always get something smart and long lasting from there, and the best thing is, none of my friends would think of shopping there, so there is no danger of bumping into someone wearing the same things as you.
