I HAVE BEEN ON MATCH FOR 3 MONTHS NOW AND I KEEP GETTING THE SAME MATCHES REPEATEDLY ONCE THEY HAVE SIGNED YOU UP FOR THE 6 MONTHS THEY HAVE YOU AND YOU CANNOT LEAVE ALTHOUGH UNHAPPY IT IS/WAS A WASTE OF MONEY

WARNING! If you decide to suspend your profile with a view to returning at a later date, you continue paying, even though you are inactive. There is no way out of this. You sign up to a 6 month contract and all 6 monthly payments are taken. I.E, if you suspend your profile after 2 months and then go back 4 months later thinking you still have 4 months to use, WRONG! you have been paying for 4 months for nothing and they will NOT refund you! Basically you pay for 6 months even if you only use the site for 1 month. Also, there does appear to be a lot of fake profiles. I found EHarmony to be a lot better.

What a waste of time this is. U specify what your looking for and it just gives you profiles that barely match. Tells you someone's matched with you so u send them a message but as they haven't paid they can't reply. More soul destroying than tinder and I'm stuck paying for this rubbish for 6 months

I think this site needs a good overhaul. Profile photos are disgraceful. Some are using celebrities photos (wrong sex too), and some using naked ones of themselves. These have not been picked up on by managers of the site. Yet a decent one of me and my family was denied. It's a very frustrating site to use. You scroll through and find a profile you like, click to view, then come out of it, and it takes you right back to the beginning..... Aaaaarrrrgggghhhh !!! This company needs training in how to advise genuine seekers how best to portray themselves......because some folks haven't a clue, and are failing miserably, to find love or friendship.

Do NOT join. I signed up on a 6 month plan, logged in and was able to use the site for a few hours, then Match just logged me out with no way to get back in. Password reset facility is a work of fiction, nothing happens. Tried calling their customer services and all you get is a few seconds of music and cut-off. I'm guessing email support is only available once you've logged in. As I couldn't login into my account, I was unable to cancel my subscription, ask for a refund or cancel the recurring payment due in 6 months time. The good news is that, as I paid by credit card, I managed to use Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act here in the UK to push my bank to get my money back. Like most banks, they were reluctant at first, but the law is on the consumers side. Also, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) here in the UK states that:IT IS YOUR RIGHT TO CANCEL CONTINUOUS PAYMENT AUTHORITIES DIRECTLY WITH YOUR CARD ISSUER. In other words, your bank must place a block on any subsequent recurring card payments. The moral of all this? Simple, stay well clear of Match.com completely.

Be careful about handing your debit card details to match.com. They will renew your account without warning. I joined because they run events, but there were very few events listed and none were anywhere near where I live. The whole thing has been a waste of time and money

Really would not recommend this site to anyone. Several gangs trawl the site looking for vulnerable women. You'll come across a several different photos of a handsome guy, all with different profile names/ages & where they live. The number of times I reported it ....!!!! Eventually after a few weeks, I received an e mail, saying they apologised for any distress it had caused me & that they take members safety at the forefront, and so had closed down the account. A week later, hello I recognise that face, they're back again, and so on. Most of the guys on there claim they want a long term relationship, but if you start 'chatting' it soon becomes apparent that's not what they are after. If they ask you to come off the site & talk via whatsapp/hangouts/skype or email its so they can send & receive revealing photos, so beware. In the beginning I was very naive, I now what to look for. Once membership ends I will not be renewing, if I can stop the automatic renewal, that's another story !!! Good luck & stay safe

This company needs to get a grip of its staff i was a member but after the first week canceled.I signed up to look around and was flooded with winks and favorites even messages,so i joined then i realized there where no messages only winks from fictitious profiles i now get winks every day .When i check for them on site they are not there.I have wrote this honest review to warn people to avoid this company.

I had paid for a subscription as i thought it would be a decent site. How wrong i was. Everything is open to you once you pay the extortionate fees. However the free look around is just that, a look. You can't do anything. You can't see who's viewed you, you can't see who winked at you and the most crucial part of a dating site, the messages, you can't read or reply to them unless you pay the fee. The minimum of which is £60 over 6 months paid in one go or £20 per month. During the free look, you get views and messages and winks but when you decide to pay, like I did the second time (I know, sucker right) those messages convienently disappear. When you get winked at, you get a notification telling you who winked, so you go in and search for said person but they've been hidden from you so you can't see them, meaning you need to pay if you want to see who it was. You can't leave a negative review on the site as the email system isn't configured to receive emails. How convienent. The automatic renewal process can't be cancelled through the site. Even though it confirms you've cancelled the renewal, it will take a further charge from you. When you contact them about it, you don't get a reply from "customer service" which by the way is amongst the worst I've had to deal with. You will need to go through your bank or PayPal for a refund. I posted on my profile, after getting a message I couldn't read, that I could be found on another dating site that's free to message as I no longer used match.com, my entire profile description was deleted from the site, a description I spent a lot of time trying to get right, despite me not breaching their terms and conditions. Please DO NOT SIGN UP to it. If I could give it a zero I would. It has several 5* ratings on Google play, that are without any type of review. Imo they've been submitted by people or persons working for match as any negative review has lots of reasons why they've been given. I would not be surprised if at some time in the future this site is investigated by the ombudsman.

I joined Match after being single a long time and should never had bothered. I never had 1 date and only met 1 nice man but never met as we weren't compatible. I met 1 guy who I thought at first was nice but turned out really wierd I can only surmise he was a bad man , be careful you don't give any personal information. Anyway my 6 month contract came to an end and I didn't agree to another 6 months so when I went on my online banking and saw they'd taken £89.94 from my account I was foaming. I emailed them and was told I wasn't getting it back so I emailed again saying I was taking it further they emailed back to say no you're not getting it back !! So next day I went to my bank and told them the story, they were very good and gave me my money back and are now pur suing it. Please please don't let them take your money take it further they have no right to take from you, my bank put a block on them too so they can't take from me again. Please do not join this horrible site !!

I cant believe I have spent my money on this rubbish site.

been on the site for a couple of weeks already have had 3 men on their targeting women obviously who they think have money, making out they are the best man in the world for them. they ask for your email but don't want to speak until they are outed then we realise we have been wasting our time with yet another man then we dnt trust any of them. also to make any complaint of block is not easy. the whole site is bad in so many ways they also do lots of advertising and try to lure you into paying more for other options on the site. I would never recommend this site

I have a full membership and the website has made me unable to read my messages. I received a message from someone that I replied, he sent message back but the website is not letting me read it. They have sent me an email saying that I have the message but when I open the message is not there and and they don't give me option to search the person by the name. I also received a second message but tried to open same thing happen. I tried to contact them but they also don't provide a contact. How can I report them? Does anyone knows? Thank you

I signed up to match on a 3 month subscription and then cancelled the auto-renew the next day as i had read so many people complain about Match just taking money from their account. Match sent me an email to confirm that i had cancelled the auto-renewal, however three months later they just took another £83. Their web site doesnt provide any contact details to contact them and the help section relating to cancelling your auto-renewal doesnt even work !!  Fortunately my bank has refunded the money and i'm waiting to hear from Match !! Avoid this site at all costs !

Match dating site is not what it pretends to be it will send you matches from people not in your age range and you will certainly not be in theirs. I have been sent 'matches' for people looking for a lady aged between 35-45, 10 years different to my age. They also sent me matches who live at the other end of the country. If your subscription runs out you will have at 60+ people 'looking' per day at your profile but when you pay again those 60+ people are often doubled up.  I hope it will be investigated properly very soon. It is also full of dubious profiles of people looking for passports or to take your money. I have been unable to use some of the correct words to describe this site as I could not publish this review with them in it. None of the words were offensive in anyway.

When is Match.com actually going to be held accountable for its fraudulent ways and deception of hardworking people who are searching for a partner? After suffering the same as many members previously who have had money taken despite cancelling, I decided to give it another try last month. I invested a lot of time in my profile as well as searches. I became suspicious when my searches were revealing very few results and my profile was viewed only 3-5 times per day. I asked a friend (and fellow member) to check if my profile was appearing in searches. It wasn't. I realised it was a complete waste of time and money so I cancelled my renewal. Following the expiry of my paid membership on Sunday, my profile was viewed over 500 times in the space of 2 days and I have received countless messages, winks etc that, of course, I can no longer see until I re-subscribe and pay again. I realised that my profile had been kept hidden from all but a handful of members and vice versa as a ploy to extract yet more money from me. How on earth can this company be operating without being prosecuted? Match has no morals or conscience and I think it's time they were held to account.
