The best musical i have ever seen (both on stage and t.v.) the singing and music are outstanding and the story is powerfully inspiring and the jokes are top standard. I would definitely see this again and again a thousand times and more. i would recommend this to fans of Queen (the group , not the old lady!), musicals, rock music, comedy, and generally anyone human. i would give it... We went to a Saturday matinee, 3 adults and 3 children (ages, 10, 13 & 15yrs), we enjoyed the show immensely for its 'light-heartedness', music, humour and left the theatre feeling happy and declaring it was the highlight of the week-end, helped to brighten up a 'cold and rainy' day. We all thought it was brilliant and said that it is a show that we would go back to again. (read more)

Just been to see 'We Will Rock You' and thought is was a very low quality show.
The only good thing that I would say is that the singers did have amazing voices and really could sing.
Beyond that however, the storyline was pathetic and only loosely relates to the Queen songs. Acting was weak and the jokes were terrible and could have been written by anybody, not Ben Elton's best by a long way. The set was unbelievably cheap, poor props (if any) and 10 year old computer effects that now... (read more)

From start to finish the performance was amazin. Myself and my partner went to the 2.30 Saturday matinee as part of a birthday present and we both enjoyed how the story incorporated the Queen songs. We only wish there was enough leg room to get up off our seats and dance along. We joined in with the singing also. Liked the comedy aspect of the show as well as the modern approach to the whole performance. Would see this show again. We has a lovely weekend thanks to "We will Rock you". (read more)

Like the review I have just read we left at half-time. It was just pathetic. The storyline was so poor you would think a 5 year old child wrote it. We are big Queen fans but the story is so poor we couldn't stand any more and just had to leave. DONT GO! (read more)

We have seen many musicals and this was the first where we left at half time. Wednesday evening performance 8th Dec. We love Queen music and after all the hype was really looking forward to the show.Well, it was just awful with a storyline that was pathetic and weak. It was more like a high school production. I just cant put into words just how bad it was and how dissapointed we were. My partner bought the tickets for me as a present (excellent seats) - we both sat there during the first... (read more)

The talent was wonderful...voices were absolutely amazing but the show left a lot to be desired. We were disappointed in the storyline. It felt forced. There was so much music to work with to make the show great yet the way the music was incorporated was disappointing. Bohemian Rhapsody was an encore...it should have been deep in the heart of the musical. Again, individually, the musicians and singers were SO TALENTED but the show just didn't have what it takes to be great.

It was funny and entertaining. I read some not great reviews before it was way better than that I was pleasantly surprised. I really liked the story line it was silly but I think funny and a bit tongue in cheek. Easy to relate to the technology if you are reading this on a computer! Some jokes may be a bit rude for kids but very funny. Good music. If you have a sense of humour, are fairly modern, and like queen music then you will love this.

As I have always loved Queen's music I thought this would make a great show to go to as a family with my 9 year old son - and then I read some of these reviews and started getting a little worried!! Thankfully I'd booked before reading otherwise I might have been put off and missed something absolutely amazing! We all thouroughly enjoyed it as did everyone else in the theatre. The music was fantastic, the performer's voices did complete justice to the music and it was surprisingly funny too... (read more)

amazing!!!! I went to see it and it was amazing. Great story line , plot and great songs. Very professional production very very good. also the theatre wasn't very big so you could see very well even if you were at the back. Very catchy songs you end up singing them for the rest of the week!!Also the actors were very good singers. Great for all the family but some of the jokes only over 8+ year olds lets say would get. lovely twist of romance also in it . would recommend it 100 percent!!!!! (read more)

I thought this show was amazing! The storyline was a bit strange but once you understood it it was fab! It was very funny and i wouldn't recommend it for children under 10 because of some of the language and jokes!I thought that the actors and actresses were magnificent! Their voices were beautiful! I loved everything about this show and as soon as i came out i wanted to go back in and watch it again!I would definately recommend this show! (read more)

The music is the music - you either like it or not. It's very professionally presented however, the band are very talented and true to the original music. Given the talent on the stage and in the band, this could be a cracking evening of live rock and dance if they dumped all the verbal garbage in the script and just did a Queen tribute act (with the sound system sorted out). The singers have good voices, the band are great and the costumes, dancing and graphics/lighting are very... (read more)

Having read several dire reviews of this, and my girlfriend telling me she would "rather eat her own arm" than go to see this, I can honestly say that I really thoroughly enjoyed it!
Ok so the story line was pretty pi$$ poor, but in a classic Ben Elton cheesy way it kind of seemed to work. There were some terrible one liners but overall I loved the music, the actors were fantastic and it was a very un-pretentious amusing night. (read more)

I consider myself to be a big fan of Queen and loving their music gives the show a headstart in enjoyment before it has started. You are guaranteed a classic, timeless soundtrack to listen to.
With a musical, obviously a series of songs would have to be incorporated into a plot. This aspect comes into question, as it is blatent, that only a brief bit of thought has gone into it.
As stories go, it is uses the cliche of having 2 sides - one having to resist and overcome the other. Which... (read more)

Took my son, 16, to see this on 16th July 2010. We absolutely loved it as did the majority of the audience, hence the standing ovation. I got half price tickets (£36) and they were more than worth it. I booked the tickets before I read the reviews, then regretted it. However, I am so glad I did it that way, I would have kicked myself had I missed this. My conclusion, don't believe everything you read. (read more)
