This upright hoover is rubbish, ALL the parts are cheap and flimsy, wont pick up dog hairs and it took me 45 mins to hoover a small room, which is carpeted, you can imagine how long it took me to hoover my bungalow,it falls over very easy and and keeps cutting out and you cant switch it on for 30 mins.I WILL NEVER BUY ANY VAX PRODUCT AGAIN.IT WEIGHS A TON AS WELL SO TO SAY ITS LIGHT WEIGHT IS A JOKE

This Hoover smells like its burning then stops working for about 30 mins! The tools are rubbish and don't pick up pet hair The Hoover falls over when using the attachments! Caused a chipped bone in my foot! I will NEVER buy Vax again

do not pick up pet hair..or anything basically. got it about 3 years ago, turbo tool stopped working after a month. main component pick up ok on bare floor, not so good on carpets. you basically end up picking most of it by hand. Just finished hoovering my bedroom 4/3 square metres and took me 45 minutes. Very frustrating taking it's awfully heavy! i'll definitely stick with some other brand in future.

Can't remember which model it was as I thrown it! It's was a vacuum cleaner with the pet hair thing. Very powerful at start and was quite impressed. But quickly lost power, height setting broke very quickly as plastic parts are cheap and flimsy. My sons toys are better quality. Kept cutting out after hoovering one room. Power button broke and went into machine and then started smoking and now won't work. Couldn't use it to do stairs as too heavy and unstable. Would never ever buy any of thier products again, will buy a Dyson, though more expansive will last longer than vax. Decided to take a hammer to it before throwing it away as I felt robbed of the money i paid for it. Would understand if i lived in a mansion but a live in a two bed flat. Awful awful awful

I have owned my vax turboforce since 2007(nearly 5 years) and it has been great I had to replace a belt on it for the first time last year and now the bearing has gone in the brushbar a new one will cost me £15 but worth it as the vacuum is still going strong I agree with other comments about this hoover it is heavy and very noisy but it keeps my house clean all in all a good product from vax

Vax 1700 watt
Cable gets in the way
Difficult to use on the stairs
Noisy
Only works well on floorboard setting
Thermal cut out has a problem and the cleaner has now broken after 18 months as a result of this. It now cuts out after 5 minutes and stays off for 30 minutes.
On the positive side, it is powerful and Vax has an efficient customer service but of course, it has they say now past it's guarantee by 6 months so tough.
My Hoover Senior lasted 25 years with one repair(brushes for the motor which I replaced myself) so I guess Vax is using cheap components. Buyer beware

This vacuum cleaner is rubbish. It doesn,t lift unless your on the lowest setting and then you get the smell of burning rubber.I only use it for the stairs as it lifts ok using the tools. BUY ANOTHER CLEANER, NOT THIS ONE.

Awful. Sucks nothing up, keeps cutting out. Have complained to Vax but am still waiting on a reply.
Will never buy a vax product again.
There is nothing positive about this product except I managed to purchase it from the shop across the road, so I didn't have far to carry it. However, I am not able to return it there as the sticker on the top of it informs me. The fact that Vax have put a sticker on each of their products instructing customers to "not take it back to the shop" would suggest they are used to their products being returned.
Awful waste of time efort and money.
Rubish customer service too.
Would give the product zero stars but am unable to do so.

The worst vacuum I have ever had. It is very heavy and the turbo tool has never lived up to its expectations as it blocks very quickly after only vacuuming the mat which the pets lie on, and yet it is supposed to be excellent for pet hair. Also the hose does not stretch very far on stairs like it stated it would in the sales jargon.

Do not buy this machine unless you have arms like Popeye and can afford to replace the Turbo Tool every 3 months

Suction is quite good. especially on a wooden floor. Hard work hoovering the stairs due the weight of the thing. Major problem with overheating on my hoover causing it to cut out, it won't work for an hour then it will for 10 minutes, then it won't work for an hour and so on! Very frustrating!

VAX 1700 WATT V006 really sucks, in a good way. Has lasted years, but starting to wish it was less reliable as I fancy upgrading to a vac that doesn't sound like an jet airliner on full thrust. Bought it regraded so it was a bargain.

REVIEW FOR Turboforce 1700watt cyclonic power cleaner.
I have read some reviews on this hoover and must say some people are rather stupid, I mean no offence but seriously.
First the person that complained about blocked hose, burned out belts, running over the cable and it cutting out. lets take this one at a time.
Blocked hose.
Easiest thing to fix, unblock it and dont pick up things like staws big bits of paper ect as they get stuck in the bends and dirt clogs up behind it causing the hoover to over heat see next point.
Overheating and cutting out.
See above for blockages, remove the blockage allow to cool and wait for the heat cut out to reset
Burnt out belts.
Simple DO NOT PICK UP BIG THINGS, if its bigger that a 2 pence peice and solid DONT PICK IT UP WITH THE HOOVER
No comment here accept watch what your doing.
My take on this hoover.
Very tough and sturdy hoover.
Picks up ANYTHING and I mean anything.
Glass
Nails
Cables for headphones ect
Sawdust
pethair
you name it.
Gone through about 4 belts scince I have had it
Only bad thing is the hoover is not very stair freindly and sounds like a jet engine.
But it certinaly get the job done effectivly.
9/10 due to noise and stair freindly.
Will always stick with VAX sorry dyson you dont hold a candle to vax.

When my Dyson broke I was reluctant to pay out for a new one and saw this online - I thought "what a great bargain!" however 1 month down the line when I attempted to vacuum up the Christmas tree pine needles I realised I should have splashed out on a new Dyson. The VAX cuts out at the drop of a hat and will not start for any time between 10 mins and an hour - I don't know why the time changes! I have been through 3 belts and the latest problem is that the dirt all seems to get stuck in the hose and not make it as far as the cylinder - hence more cut outs! I'm giving up on it now and researching Dysons!

The VAX 1700 WATT V006 is relatively cheap to buy, but very poor pick up from day one. Has to be set to lowest level to have any effect on carpet, but this makes it almost impossible to push. Cheap build quality, first broke down two days after guarantee ran out. Sent back to Vax for repair, cost £30.
Has got through four brush rollers at £13 a time (each has split inn the same place, suggesting a design fault), and at least eight drive belts at £3 a time. Bought for £80, and in seven months since the guarantee ran out it's cost another £100+.
After 17 months and £180+, it's time to throw it away and buy a Dyson - more expensive to buy, but cheaper in the long run.
I won't be buying anything made by Vax again. Avoid this product - it will pick your pocket until there's nothing left.

The VAX 1700 WATT V006 was probably one of my worst buys. belts keep burning out, I keep running over the cable, very heavy to use, basically a complete waste of money

This VAX 1700 WATT V006 is the best hoover ive used to date. Its suction capacity is so good, its a pleasure to use although be warned "it will suck up anything in its path". It is heavy to lift and can be a bit heavy to push, but on the whole thats the only negative point.i personally find. Theres ample cord so u can hoover the upstairs whilst plugged in downstairs. The bagless cylinder is very large and even when eventually full still proves its suction capability. The flters are very effective and although they must be changed annually are good value for money. To sum this product.....its fantastic value for money, its great for the family home and a pleasure for those with a cleaning compulsion. This is a hoover that wants to prove its more than just a piece of equipment. It does a job for you and indeed it does it well. Well done on this one Vax

The Vax is brilliant for suction"but it was very heavy I have had mine 1 month now"" Great hoover!! Loved the way is sucked my carpet up!!

Swear I will never buy another Vax , whoever designed this one has never done the cleaning at home. Poor design and would appear that its made to last just beyond the warranty. Cheaper than a Dyson but you'll need a new one every 12 months.
