The online delivery to a store is useful, quick and reliable. The returns procedure is inconvient and slow. First you have to send an email saying why you want to return the item then wait...up to a day...to receive a number that you write in the parcel. Next you send back through the post office..ok...JL dont tell you they have received your parcel back and I am still waiting for the money to go back into my account 2 weeks later. After having the whole house improved we bought all our bits for the new kitchen including material for the new blinds in all the rooms, the bluewater store was fantastic and everything we needed.
Cannot fault the service and they arranged to get everything delivered.

Purchased Panasonic DVD recorder. Intermittent problem where it would switch itself on and take over the TV channel being watched. (A minor but irritating fault). Returned to store on a couple of occasions for repair. Problem still persisted so offered full cash refund. Such good service bought a new DVD recorder whilst still in the store. After we had our kitchen done we decided to buy some trendy lighting for the eating area, well John Lewis were the only company we could find that could deliver whay we wanted.
The lighting looks fantastic, they sit over our new granite table that the kitchen company installed, John Lewis delivered on time, one light was broke but with no bother it was replaced and turned up within 48 hours.

I have had an horrendous experience purchasing your products ( simplehuman.co.uk) through John Lewis online. (14813009) The original order of (3) sku # CW1835 White small corner bins arrived with 2 of the three bins damaged (dents). In addition someone ( JL or SH ?) had fixed large stickers to the front of each bin and by the front I mean across the front of the white surface, these stickers could not be removed without leaving a residual glue . John Lewis has a wonderful reputation but their online business has descended into shambles. Not only have they failed to deliver orders where customers have paid extra for specific delivery dates but they have failed to tell those customers that their orders will not be fulfilled.

John Lewis has boring overpriced furniture. Almost an exercise in how much beige and brown can be fitted on a single page.
However once you get over the initial impression, it at leaswet offers a range of colours for the boring furniture, disguising it somewhat.

I rang Customer Service department after my Grandaughter opened a present of pjamas only to find the top was the correct size but the bottoms, which were purchased together as a set were 3 sizes bigger. They said someone from the childrens department would call, which they did left a message to say the correct size were on a display at the moment. i ordered a fridge online from www.johnlewis.com which was delivered in two days. a couple of days after i had been using it, i noticed a large scratch near the base which i had missed when unpacking it.
i was hesitant to call as i had not reported it as soon as i had unpacked it - but as soon as i did, they apologised and replaced it with a new model in two days!

I ordered items, and the delivery company used by John Lewis are dreadful. Persistently said they tried to deliver the parcel over 2 weeks. Eventually, I cancelled the order and will order from a company with a more reliable delivery company. Items ordered were for christening presents, and as they hadn't arrived I had to turn up without any gifts.
