Loreal Color Experte is a really good natural-looking colour for a fraction of what I would have paid in a hairdressers. Easy to use as well - I have been using it for about two years now with no problems.
I'd recommend it to anyone - however please shops BRING IT BACK! Still, there's always ebay… Read Full Review

My hair is dark brown, I used 6.1 French Eclair. The base color is great, but as others here are saying, the highlights were a disaster!
Highlights did not turn out a cool gold/caramel as stated on box - they are ORANGE - as in like a pumpkin. Good thing it is close to Halloween! I hope someone reads this before trying, I found this too late… Read Full Review

I love LOreal Color Experte!! I use 7.3, and it is terrific. The highlights look natural, and it is easy to use! I get many compliments on my hair color.
I've recommended this product to my mom and my friends!! I love the color. I love the way it makes my hair feel and look!! Thank you, Loreal!!… Read Full Review

Loreal Color Experte is THE best hair dye that stayed on my hair. Best yet! Color is true and deep. Highlights do not run or spread onto other hair. I came to this after using other L'Oreal hair dyes (and came to L'Oreal after using other products.
Nothing better yet that I've found. I will continue to use the product… Read Full Review

The color did not turn out the same on my hair as the color shown on the box. Light Golden Brown?! My base color turned out dark, with very red tones.
My son said it looked like cherry coke! I did the highlights and that helped lighten the overall look. Hoping that after a few washings it will start to resemble the color in the picture. One more concern....My hair feels sticky, heavy, limp, like I have a lot of product build up. I have washed my hair twice, very thoroughly, and it still… Read Full Review

I wouldn't buy it again. I was so tired of my brown hair, but I don't think anyone could hate their hair more than I do now. I never thought that I could miss my brown hair so much!… Read Full Review

I dyed my hair black, than bleached it so I could change it. I ended up with orange hair (which was a surprise cause they said thats how it will turn out) so then I bought Loreal Color Experte, in French Eclair. The brown/base came out nicely but the highlights were a disaster! They turned out goldy, orange. I even left in on for a tad longer so it could go blonde but it was just a brighter orange. Bleh!… Read Full Review

I also used this product, I used the ash brown with caramel highlights. My hair is a medium brown the highlights turned orange and the ash brown turned parts of my hair black.
I have spent equal amounts of money buying products to correct the color that I would have spent if I had just went to the salon… Read Full Review

I wanted warm highlights and bought the 6.1 French Eclair. My hair IS dark brown. On the box it states "French Eclair is a cooler shade that will help minimize red/orange tones. Personal Highlights will turn from beige to gold." I am so disappointed and I hope this review will help some other poor soul realize that you should go to a salon. Now I have to go to Sally's and try to fix my own mess because I am thoroughly embarrassed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!… Read Full Review

Worked great, easy to use. One colour turned my highlights a copper tone, but leave in a bit longer and went blonde. I liked it, easy to use… Read Full Review

Hard to understand the negative comments - this is the easiest product to use with guaranteed great, natural looking results. I've used it for at least 3 years and it's foolproof - I find not taking the highlight right to the root but starting a few millimetres from the root gives a very natural highlight and using a light hand and two good mirrors so you can see the back and sides helps when putting the highlights in.
Hardest part is choosing the colour you want - to only use the base colour… Read Full Review

My hair is medium brown, and I bought the package that said "light golden brown"- well, it dyed my hair a weird dark red, and I did follow the directions exactly. I didn't even bother with doing the highlights, because the base color was nothing near what it was supposed to be in the first place.
I do not look good with this dark red hair, and now will have to spend who knows how much at a salon getting it fixed. I wish I'd never touched that box. I would not buy this again - the color does… Read Full Review

This product gets easier to use with practice. I only apply highlights to the hair on the top of my head and at the front and sides only (any more and it just looks a mess). In my opinion the colour on the box isn't a true representation of how your hair will look and it is definitely best to do a strand test first. Mine looked fine to start with then after 3 weeks I was left with hair that began to look ginger (biscotti, natural blonde) after several more washes it looks a lot lighter than… Read Full Review

My mom was the one that actually tried this hair product. (And I was with her when she was doing it)
The paste stuff to make the highlights was very disapointing..it was like..hard suger and flour mixed with water, very chunky and hardish. It didn't glide onto the hair that nicely, so when her hair was dry afterward you barely noticed any highlights. And yes, like everyone says..we both read and followed the instructions carefully… Read Full Review

This color lasts longer than any other I've tried and I've tried them all. That's why I pay 20 bucks for it. Color is very true to description. It does not dry hair like others and not as bad for the scalp either. However, my scalp was drier but then some shampoos do the same thing to me. I have a scalp issue as it is… Read Full Review

I won't buy L'oreal Color Expert hair color again! The color itself came out nowhere near to what it was supposed to be, and then I did the highlights (which were a huge pain in the butt and very hard to do) and they turned my hair orange. (my hair was like a medium mahogany brown before, and I went to the Light brown (natural) 6.0 and this is what happened. So, if you have darker hair, be careful and don't try to go more than a shade lighter!!!… Read Full Review
