When moving one domain away I followed the advice of Dastra, an earlier reviewer, and complained about the £49 charge saying that it didn&#039;t exist in 2002 when I set it up (it only came in in 2004). Easyspace agreed to waive it which I thought was one redeeming feature.

<br/>I&#039;m a little confused by your comments regarding a "sleazy" price model and/or hidden charges? Our price model is quite straight forward with the only charge being for moving a domain name to another registrar, this is an admin fee which is currently set at £15+ VAT for the work required from our end.

<br/>That&#039;s one of the reasons I am even present on this site - to deal with and assist customers who have felt our service to be so bad that they feel the need to post on a public Review site about us.

i think your user ratings speak for themselves as you have a majority of bad feed back.

<br/>i have better things to do than spend too much time on you + we can leave honest reviews to the general public. you get paid to answer comments on forums like this etc.
<br/>
<br/>plus, i run a search engine optimization business and we sometimes get paid by clients to do damage limitation on forums. we don't do all the jobs we get asked to do, as we sometimes consider them to be in the wrong and the unhappy clients to be in the right.
<br/>
<br/>i don't dispute your servers have good uptime and are reliable etc, but in my experience and that of the countless clients i used to recommend your service to - your customer service lacks substance.
<br/>
<br/>the public are not stupid and they can make their own minds up. so even if i am some twisted nutter with a gripe and i have written 10 reviews (which i have not) and you spend too much time on this site and you have written 10 reviews - that still leaves a lot of reviews indicating that if customer service is an important factor when choosing your web host, then maybe it is an issue.

<br/>Easyspace have undergone a huge transformation since the beginning of 2006, new processes, new servers, a new control panel - improved products and pricing and thats not to mention the addition of telephone support, Livechat and 24/7 ticketing systems.

<br/>Our participation with Review Centre is intended to be of a positive nature. You&#039;ll take note also that we have responded not only to positive reviews, but also to the negative responses.
<br/>
<br/>Review Centre themselves were kind enough to partition responses which predate 2006 to a separate entry, acknowledging the changes we have made to our service as well as the effort and commitment we are making to our customers.

<br/>I can assure you that if we had time to write reviews about ourselves, I would think we would rate ourselves just a tad higher!

If you want to move your domain away, you can tell Easyspace that:

1) you registered your domain prior to IOMART taking them over (September 2004) when there was no domain transfer away charge
2) that you did not receive notification of the change to the charges

And then ask that they waive the fee to transfer away the domain. Transfer it away. Anywhere… Read Full Review

<br/>Sorry to hear you had problems with the service, I would point out however that it&#039;s a little untrue that we charge for "absolutely anything" - indeed we&#039;re adding more free addons and upgrades to our services daily.
<br/>
<br/>Its true that pre-2004 there was no transfer out fee, however like all businesses and services pricing will change - the fact that we&#039;ve introduced telephone support, Livechat and a raft of cheap upgrades would hopefully offset the fee of £15 to transfer a domain out.
<br/>
<br/>However with that said we take on board all comments - good or bad - and hopefully we learn from them!

I started with Easyspace 5 years ago, and apart from the odd niggle I was very happy with the service. Since IOMART took them over I now have to pay £50 to move domains away, and to rub salt into the wounds, the email services which used to be included are now a pay for item. Hosting prices have increased 4 fold. Easyspace say they host 500,000 web sites and receive 50 million emails PER WEEK - That's 83 emails per second using my calculations.

I've used EasySpace web hosting for several years. It's in general been OK, but there have been some problems. OK, problems do occur, but their lax and unprofessional attitude: when the website went down for several days; when they deleted the site by accident; when they said they'd get back to be on a technical question and didn't.
