When I first got my O2 X1 I was pleased because it had many classy features. But after a month it started to turn off after turning it on (really annoying). It then started freezing and I usually have to turn to the menu twice before it works. Also my messages have been coming in late. This phone is really annoying me and I will be asking for a completely different phone… Read Full Review

I bought my O2 X1 in January this year, and my daughter bought one in March. We have both had our phones repaired 3 times, and exchanged for new ones twice. We have now been given (at no charge) our choice of make and model as we refuse to have another X1. So we now have a Samsung P510 (because it looks and feels similar to the X1, and Samsung is known to be reliable), and a Motorola V80 (teenage daughter - I think it's hideously ugly, but ....).
We had major freezing problems with all the… Read Full Review

All in all the O2 X1 is a bit of a rubbish phone. I bought the phone with birthday money and have now discovered that it is just awful!
Games deleting themselves, not being able to answer calls, creaky text messaging are just a few things that bug me!
Don't buy this phone, it is poor to say the least… Read Full Review

I've owned my 02 X1 for about five months, I had problems with it from day one, it froze if I tryed to go through the menu's too quick and when I tryed to go on the internet. Stupidly I put up with this because I liked the phone. I have just sent it away to be fixed because it switches itself off every five minutes, but to be honest I don't want it back. Such a shame, great looking phone that just does not work properly.... you have been warned… Read Full Review

I returned my O2 X1 phone within 3 weeks of having it and I have had so much trouble with O2. First they say you can change it then they say you can't then you can then you can't it's like putting chocolate in front of a child and sayin' you can't have that, I have been dealing with O2 for about a month now about this complaint and 3 other people I know of have the same phone with the same problem and have allowed them to exchange it, me however is a different story, now they have said they… Read Full Review

People keep complaining about the O2 X1 mobile phone and I have no clue what they are talking about. The only bad thing I had to say is we had a little trouble getting it in the first place because the first batches had to be taken back because they were duff! maybe thats what they are complaining about!? Anyway, I have currently 119 photos saved on my phone and they are all of good quality, when they are set as wallpaper they are fine not stretched or fuzzy at all. But, Another bad thing about… Read Full Review

I got an O2 X1 for my birthday, and was thrilled at the fact I was getting what I thought was a fantastic colour camera phone for a smaller price. However I soon found that wasn't the case. I have found other owners of this phone have had the same problem as me, which is that it continuously shuts down, freezes and goes black. Around 3 days after I was given the phone I became disappointed. At first it looked so good.
I hadn't actually seen anyone with the phone, so when I look back it was… Read Full Review

This O2 X1 is the first mobile phone I've owned in years - I bought it as it was the most expensive in the store, so I thought it would be "future proof" with all of the latest options.
None of these options work.
All I've managed to do in two weeks is make a few calls and sms messages. WAP, wallpapers, ringtones, media messaging etc., all utterly unstable - and frequently cause the phone to hang (needing battery removal) or turn itself off.
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE… Read Full Review

I thought the O2 X1 was the best phone I had ever seen so I decided to buy one. But after a few days the phone started to freeze and I couldn't log onto the internet so I sent it away to get fixed and it came back in perfect working order, until I went to download wallpapers off the networks site just as the download was about to be complete the phone switched off taking my money and leaving me with no wallpaper and no chance of getting one… Read Full Review

When I first got the O2 X1, I was well chuffed - my first clamshell mobile and a good bit of technology. However - a few niggling faults. The battery life is poor compared to the much older Nokia I had, and has deteriorated to about 24 hours. If you get a text or call in the middle of a game, it locks and cannot be turned off. Sometimes it does this spontaneously. Sometimes it will not close down properly. It is also not supported for very many ringtones/screensavers - even by O2! Will be… Read Full Review

My O2 X1 mobile phone has completely packed up and the guy I spoke to at o2 said that he has had his about the same time as me, which is approx 7 months, and his also packed up. O2 have now ordered me a completely new phone, this may also happen to your phone, so beware !… Read Full Review

I've had a O2 X1 phone for a day and have already mastered the new controls. I had a Nokia 3410 which was easy to use and simple, and this is too! I'm fed up with people complaining about the O2 X1 and I think it is a great phone. Its camera and video quality is very clear, and its sounds are excellent! I've already personalised it, and think it is great!… Read Full Review

The O2 X1 is the worst phone I have ever had. The screen always freezes, the messages are always late + you can only store 20. I've taken mine back three times and am still having problems with it. Basically don't buy one you're better of with a house brick… Read Full Review

I really dislike this O2 X1 mobile phone!!
I've just got it repaired by O2, they replaced the whole thing (and lost my 80 pictures that were on the old phone! grrr!) because it kept freezing and turning itself off.
-camera, good quality, can store up to 100 pics
-screen colour's very good
-like the flashing lights on the front!
-[and this is the one that annoys me NO END]- when you get a text, you click 'read' and you have to read the message BEFORE you know who it's… Read Full Review

This O2 X1 is without doubt the most annoying and irritating mobile phone I have ever used or seen. As soon as I got it last October it received text messages up to 3 days late. It freezes up/ crashes when writing texts, won't pick up incoming calls no matter how many buttons you press and it switches itself off randomly.
It's so unreliable that I've simply stopped using it now and gone back to my old Samsung A300 while I cancel my contract and get a better phone somewhere else. With so… Read Full Review

I've had this O2 X1 mobile phone since November and it's caused me nothing but trouble. The battery is on its last legs already, only lasts me 36 hours max and thats without making ANY calls and only sending a few texts! i have purchased about 5 or 6 games and every one of them has been deleted including the ones that were already on the phone.when i ring people they hear what can only be described as the interference you get if your phone starts to ring when it is too close to the tv which… Read Full Review

Right here goes,
i bought two of these O2 X1 mobile phones one for my sons 18th birthday in dec 03 and one for my daughters 16 birthday in jan 04.
They both were adamant it had to be this phone as it was the in thing at that time, as a consequence of that there was a waiting list stretching back months, my wife and i searched everywhere for them always worrying that if we managed to get only one the loser would be very upset to say the least.
we only managed to get the second phone on… Read Full Review
