As a first time buyer I was obviously very nervous about buying my first property and in need of guidance. I am aware that agents work with their clients (sellers and landlords) in mind but once my offer for a flat had been accepted I was left high and dry by these agents. I was firstly told my an incredibly rude gentleman named Scott that I would have to use one of their mortgage brokers which I did. As a result I had to continuously chase for updates and push the mortgage advisor to do work… Read Full Review

What can I say thats positive about Bairstow Eves? Zilch. Nada. We should've run away as soon as they mucked up the first time. Sadly they tie you into a 16 week contract, leave early and you have to pay a few hundred quids... I'd rather eat my own shoes than give them money. Started off with being ignored the moment the contract was signed, no returned phone calls, and promised deadlines were broken. Followed eventually with an amazing set of rubbish photo's - I could've taken a better… Read Full Review

Agent either refuses to respond to repeated emails or dodges the questions. Extensive work done to property since I moved in, yet I was not notified in advance and not even after scaffolding was erected. I had to be in on many occasions to allow the work to be completed, including painting window frames / front door etc. And now I've discovered that more work has to be done - from the builders themselves, as the agent apparently refuses to be honest with me, on the rare occasions when he does… Read Full Review

Booked an appointment to look at a property with Bairstow Eves, went and had a look, no problems. The sales lady suggested I speak to their mortgage advisor seeing as I was a first time buyer and didn’t really know what price range I should be looking at. I thought yes why not, seeing as I didn’t have a lot of knowledge about this. Spoke to a lady called Paula who, initially, seemed very helpful and knowledgeable. She explained everything thoroughly and told me my options. She took all my… Read Full Review

I find it difficult to say anything positive about Bairstow Eves or the Countrywide Group to be honest. Firstly they don't have a complaints department so you just end up getting fobbed off. Do Not Use the Solicitors provided by them (you give them control over the purchase) it gives them the power to mess you around and get away with it, I know from personal experience. After the sale of the property fell through I had a nightmare of an ordeal Renting through Bairstow Eves Lettings the… Read Full Review

Been with this agent for a while, after trying two other local agents...they haven't sold my house but it's not for lack of trying...they've generated far more viewings and offers than the two before, they are really professional and a pleasure to deal with...more than you can say about most estate agents! I've already recommended them to friends and would use again… Read Full Review

Why are they so pushy yet not interested nuneaton branch, rude, unorganised and cant even book a viewing. been let down and no return call. If you call and they say they will call you back fat chance they will!!! Houses have been on market a while with them and reading reviews i understand why. Try to push you into meeting with their financial advisor, iv said no just want to view house but seems to me that unless you see FA you wont get a viewing i dont wish to disclose that information but… Read Full Review

Is it possible to give a minus rating? What can I say about the Stoke Newington Bairstow Eves office. My only advice is don't go with them if you want to sell your property. Shakil points out the bad on your property, the stuff even you don't notice and the head guy Hector, well if he spent less time having a cigarette outside maybe you might feel supported, especially when you have a difficult sale. Vile man.
Stoke Newington has lots of Estate Agents - DO NOT USE BAIRSTOW EVES… Read Full Review

Like a misled fool, I instructed the Bairstow Eves sharks to sell a house I was left in a will. They kept insisting I reduced the price & when I had reduced it by nearly £60k they came up with a buyer who wanted another 10% off the reduced price.
I refused the sale which did not make Bairstow Eves very happy bunnies at all, so I ended the contract, changed agents & within 3 weeks had two buyer's, one of which offered just over my full original asking price & we exchanged in 4 weeks.
Lesson… Read Full Review

Appauling customer service- AVOID at all costs, would not even give 1 star but unfortunately this is not a option.
Trying to view is vertually impossible unless you are willing to sell through them, arrange a mortgage through them basically make them as much money for as little work as possible.
My viewing appointment was cancelled on 4 seperate occasssions in the end I have given up and gone through the other estate agent who i found to be far superior.

I engaged Bairstow Eves to sell my property - they did. I have no complaints. They gave me an appraisal of how properties were selling in the area. They were always available when I wished to speak with them or got back to me asap.
I let them get on with their job which enabled me to get on with mine.
When a buyer pulled out they very quickly found me another. Of course I would have liked to sell my property at 2007 prices but since I was selling in 2010/2011 I had to sell at a price that a… Read Full Review

Bairstow eves offer an appaling service & with a price that has to be the highest in the business. Steer well clear & use a local agent who really knows your local market & will more than likely employ adults, not like the Bairstow children. I always find it highly funny when a teenager in a supermarket suit, claims to be an estate agent & valuer.
Just for fun though, see if you can spot the couple of reviews written by the Bairstow eves agents. They are very simple to spot, because they… Read Full Review

I was viewing properties through Bairstow Eves. Once I turned up for a viewing and they didn't even bother to turn up to let me in so I had to rearrange (I took time off work for that viewing!). I put an offer on a house which was rejected and then decided to view other houses (apparently this upset them as I was meant to negotiate a price for the other house with them.) Then I put on another offer which was also rejected luckily I found another house in the same area through another agent that… Read Full Review

I would much sooner rip my teeth out one by one, than use these overcharging, ignorant, amateurs again. They will tie you into a 6 month contract & the calls for you to lower your asking price will come within a few weeks.
Go with a decent local agent that will charge you the going rate, a 12/13 week contract & give you a much more, personal professional service, without the fee grabbing & being pestered… Read Full Review

Bairstow eves promises are just not worth anything. Thhey promised me they would always send someone out when there was a viewing - Rubbish! Shocked when I asked who was coming. I have 2 young children and they sent 3 views between tea time and bed time. I sold the house and with the astronomical fees we are paying about £100 per hour for the worst service ever! The solicitoors they coherse you into going with are equally as rubbish! Poor poor poor - nothing good to say!… Read Full Review
