After 6 months my Nikon Coolpix 775 digital camera has the infamous 'system error.' It won't work and the lens is stuck in the out position. If they won't fix it then I should flush the $300 in the toilet.

My Nikon Coolpix 775 digital camera stopped working after 3 months. A system error froze the whole thing. Nikon "fixed" it under warranty-it took six weeks and was returned to me with a defective shutter button. I sent it back, and it is still in the shop. I have owned it 22 weeks, and it has been i ...

After six months with my Nikon Coolpix 775 digital camera, my lens won't open - it just clicks like it wants to and reads "system error". And the "quickfix" nikon offers doesn't work for anyone from what I've heard. :( I'm very disappointed that I spent 450.00 on a camera that I could only use for ...

I received a Nikon Coolpix 775 digital camera as a Christmas present and after 3 months it quit working. Read system error and the lens wouldn't go back in. I read some of the other reviews that suggested taking the battery out for 6 hours, I took the battery out without knowing that and have put it ...

My Nikon Coolpix 775 digital camera crashed after only 3 months and the lens remains open. After I got home from vacation and contacted Nikon staff I was told to take out the battery and card immediately and keep them out to avoid damage to them. This info was not in the manual, which said to remove ...

My first venture into digital and all the reviews rated this value Nikon Coolpix 775 camera. What a disaster! Software provided by Nikon is (and known by them) to be suspect. Corrupted my programme files and printer. Can't remove from my system. The camera and bundle went back from whence it came. I ...

I have tried over four days to contact Nikon's "Support line" about the Nikon Coolpix 775 digital camera and have waited for a total of 2 hours and 20 minutes on hold, and still have never talked to a human. Not so good when the associated camera software doesn't function as indicated, and the camer ...

I got mine a month ago. The reason i picked Nikon 775, value for money and expected good quality pictures (2.1 megapixel range)from a brand known for its optical lens quality. Boy, was i wrong... I noticed a bad pixel (green dot) on all the shots which ruins my photo's. There goes the image quality. ...

My first camera locked up with a system error. It was only after I received a replacement that I saw the fix on the nikon website which was to leave the battery in for 6 hours, first thing I did was to remove the battery. Apart from that I am really pleased with my purchase and would recommend the C ...
