After working at the hotel for 3 months, i can safley say that i would NOT visit there. The mangement are ignorant, the staff do not have a clue what they are doing (especially in the resteraunt) and the staff are stroppy teenagers who are just working for the money rather than the customer service standard. The health risks that go on in the kitchen (Hotel and park) are just rediculess. the propper health and saftey guidlines do not meet standards unless the health visitor is coming for a… Read Full Review

It seems from reading these reviews nothing has changed.2 adults 2 children £56, £2 to park your car in a muddy, poorly lit, unsecure field.I thought it would be nice to take the kids to 'thomas's magical christmas' over the festive period.yes it was new years' day and quiet.but.....it didnt snow 3 times a day 'guaranteed', the slick, glossy advertising campaign did not deliver the experience i had hoped for.the park looked run down, the food was overpriced,(luckily we took our own).and then… Read Full Review

We used a voucher which meant that the day was good value, the park was great our son (aged 2 years) loved it all. Thomas Land was a big hit so much so we are going back at Christmas, I can not rate this park enough however the food was poor and very expensive it cost £16.00 for 3 meals one of these was a kids meal, most of the meal we put in the bin. It was cold, greasy and I would not feed it to my dog..... Just down the road is a really nice M&S food hall, I would sugguest going there… Read Full Review

I agree with the previous reviewer that if you went to Drayton Manor on a school day it would probably be much better value for money but it is hard to see how 62 pounds for a family of four (mum, dad, one 8 year old, one 3 year old) could be justified given that we spent at least 3 hours of our 6 hour visit standing in queues. And that price was with a '1 adult free' voucher! It is hard to keep your spirits up when your children are actually asking to go home rather than bother queuing for… Read Full Review

The main reason I have given 2 stars instead of 1 is the fact that if you went to Drayton Manor on a school day you might have a good day. I went in the holidays and the place was a joke you might as well burn your money in a fire and stay home. There needs to be a restriction on ticket sales, if that is possible. It’s woeful to see hundreds of kids standing in 1+ hour queues. I asked my 12 year old daughter if she would like to go again, a look of pain came over her face as she said no way… Read Full Review

I visted the park two weeks ago and there is plenty to do and see. There are rides for all. Top rides for me are G FORCE and SHOCKWAVE. Both rides had little ques which I think for a school holday is excellent. I took my children today as I enjoyed my last trip so much. They are 4 and 6 they both very much enjoyed the day. We were at the park on opening time and 9.30am. And stayed untill last ride at 6pm. There are plenty of rides we could go on together sich as the new ben 10 ride the min… Read Full Review

I recently took my son (3) & 11 friends to a Thomasland birthday party it was terrible from the start. There is no designated party meeting place, instead all of us milled around the entrance gates getting in the way of other patrons. The party staff were rude and didn't interact with the children. When u book a party you are allowed to pick 1 ride that you queue jump this never happen. We were told to leave 1 queue as it was considered to long, even though we would of been next on. The… Read Full Review

upon visting the park at a massive cost of £28pp we were bewildered at the cost but with our spirits high we were all set to enjoy the day. we visited the shockwave rollercoaster but when we were seated in the ride we were greeted with rude staff who then seated us without proper safety checks and sent us on our way with my girlfriends arm trapped above her head and left dangling by her crotch which has then resulted us persuing a injury claim against the park itself! disgusting treament and… Read Full Review

My family and best friend went for a day out at Drayton Manor theme park in the August of 2010. When first arriving at the entrance I was faced with my worst enemy. There seemed to be a fairly high quantity of wasps. Being terrified of wasps, I thought the enjoyment of this day would be completely ruined! Fortunately, this didn't turn out to be the case. This has probably been the only theme park I've been to where they seem to have their wasp problem under control, which is excellent… Read Full Review

We have visited drayton manor on many occasions. This year I took a load of teenagers for my daughters birthday party. They had a great time. The rides vary from ages. Some suitable for younger children most being for older. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The ride queues are not bad either.I don't tend to go to the zoo very often when I go;But from what I remember it is clean and friendly.Nothing to spectacular though. The parking is good and getting away is easy too. There is various… Read Full Review

An Interesting Experience
I went on a school day as part of a trip. Once we got there, everyone went off to do what they want. There were quite a lot of positives yet quite a lot of negatives. The rides were great, the food was good and the wait was short. I went on a lot of rides like G-Force, Stormforce 10, Shockwave and more for the entire day and I must have been on them all at least 10 times each! However, the wait was short because it was a school day. I have been there on a holiday and… Read Full Review

a bit of a letdown i went on a school trip i found that the staff are miserable but i discovered this is due to bad pay and awfull manegers we had fairly short waiting times (userally walked straight on)
even found a spelling mistake on a sign surely someone would notice

having visited alton towers two days before, we were looking forward to trying out DM. big disappointment. our group consisted of 3 adults and 2 kids (kids are 6 and 8).
for the adults, there are 2 coasters worth mentioning. we decided not to try either due to safety issues with the smaller rides we went on first-the safety checks seemed to consist of lowering empty harnesses rather than checking the ones being used were actually able to hold riders in place. when riding with small kids i… Read Full Review

We visited Drayton Manor with our son 5, and daughter 11. We had a brilliant day and as we went on a school day it was fairly quiet and we did not have to que for any of the rides (except the Thomas train ride itself). My son is a Thomas fanatic and was thrilled with Thomas Land, there was also plenty for my daughter to enjoy as well as some rides for us all to do together. There was so much to do we would probably go for 2 days next time. The staff were surprisingly friendly and the park… Read Full Review

Brief intro - Mum 29, DH 37, DD 9 (137cm) DS 7 (128cm). Had a great day out. Noticed that the measuring boards are slighlty higher than the kids e.g. DS is 128 but only just skirted the 120 measuring board and DD is 137 and was dead on the 130 measuring board. I noticed a few kids (girls) still in nappies wearing wedge type sandals(!) so I suspect these bars are measured higher to prevent kids who are too small getting on rides with built up shoes etc.

I went to drayton manor last Friday, i arrived at the park at 10.50, after queing for tickets (5 minutes) we entered. We had previously booked the tickets online, and it was £66 for the 3 of us, great value. We entered the park. There was a thunderstorm half way through the day, and all the rides closed for 10 minutes, but they soon re-opened. The Rides will not close for Rain, but rides like the Maelstrom will close in thunder and many others will. There have been many people complaining about… Read Full Review

i went to Drayton with my daughter under 4, and my best freind and her 2 children 1 under 4 the other over 4, I pre-booked my tickets the night before as it saved us about £19, we had to pay £20.95 for each adult & £18.95 for any child over 4 total cost of entry £60.85, however I did think that the cost for a family was a little excessive and thought it should be more around the £50 mark. Upon entry to the park it was chaosas there was lots of people (school holidays) and people did not have a… Read Full Review

Took my son to Thomas land.
1. Price is totally ridiculous for two adults and a 4 year old - £60
2. Queues for the rides were very long. Queued for the Thomas and Percy ride, over an hour then we had to get off two minutes later. Then queue again for the return trip. Shocking lack of information.
3. Thomas land is cramped, very little seating.
4. The Zoo in parts is woeful wrong signage and some of the animals looked less than 'happy'
5. Not convinced by conservation objectives of the zoo… Read Full Review
