I was moving house, and I phoned the Abbey National to give them the new address, and I was told I had to go to a branch to do it. The two other banks that I'm with did it over the phone. I have had an Abbey National current account since 1973, and gradually the personal service has gone. They don't seem to have any loyalty anymore to their customers. I was just £16 overdrawn this month. I didn't notice and it was my fault, but I was charged £20 for for being overdrawn a ...
