“NEVER EVER USE THIS WEBSITE”

I booked a trip from Birmingham to Winnipeg, Canada with them a few days ago. The price was great and I wanted to get it right away so I don't lose it. Next Morning I get an email saying that there has been a schedule change and we now need to pay over £200 per person! I was able to go directly on the KLM and Delta website where I saw that the booking was still valid and the flight LASTMINUTE claimed was changed, was INFACT ON THE BOOKING! “Terrible customer servive”

My husband and I used last minute.com to book a 5 star hotel for our honey moon weekend. On the website we came across a mystery/secret deal and called up the customer service to ask about it. The secret deal was for a good deal on a 5 star 'rating' hotel. When we called the lastminute team to enquire about this, the person who assisted us that day, convinced us that it was actually a '5 star' not 5 star rating only, hotel. “Stuck 6000 miles away..”

I was in Reunion Island near Madagascar, and needed to buy my return ticket to England. I had told my bank I would be there and I gave lastminute all the correct info for the ticket which was £580.. They took the money from my account and then did a safety check to see if it was ok for them to accept the payment. For reasons unbeknown and unexplained to me, the payment was not ok for them to accept, and I receive an email stating that it could take up to 10 days for the money to be refunded… Read Full Review

“Terrible Customer Service”

We have booked flights to Oslo through lastminute as are visiting friends in Sweden who can pick us up from the airport. The problem is that there is more than one airport in Oslo and we are travelling to the wrong one which is a 5 hour drive from the correct one. We contacted customer swervices to change our flights as there are plenty available for the same dates to the correct airport. The person reported at the airport and was shocked to know that his ticket was not confirmed after booking through your site. “Booked a holiday to Las Vegas with Lastminute.com, 48...”

Booked a holiday to Las Vegas with Lastminute.com, 48 hrs after booking and paying in full i received a mail saying my booked flights were not available and offered alternatives which were more expensive with an additional 19hrs travelling time. “WARNING! DO NOT USE THIS SITE!”

I booked a flight on Monday 1/21/13 but when I hit confirm reservations, I got a message stating to go back and hit confirm reservations again. I did this two times but gave up for fear that I was being charged twice. Next day I checked email and still did not receive a confirmation but checked my credit card account online. Booked a hotel in London using lastminute.com, selected a secret hotel as they advertise you are getting it cheaper! Not so, if I had gone to the hotel direct I would have got a better deal. When I contacted their customer services I was told tough luck! This is misleading advertising, I have ended up paying more by booking through lastminute.com, there are 3 websites with cheaper deals. Having tried for over an hour on their erratic and slow site to book a hotel I managed to get as far as payment authorised and accepted and that an email would be sent in confirmation. I noticed at this stage that either I or the site had presented my email address with a .com suffix rather than .org. So no confirmation email. My experience with Lastminute.com is horrendous, I would advice to keep well clear of this outfit. We took them to small claims and unfortunately lost, we are rather annoyed by the old judge who did not seem to be able to retain much information, but anyway even he admitted (I believe) that lastminute.com rating of a hotel as 'objectively' 5 star, was not correct, you would think that this misrepresentation would make the contract voidable, but not according to British Justice. I completely agree, my experience with customer services was just as bad. After booking a flight I was not allowed on it because the date of birth was wrong on the ticket. Tried to book a trial ticket the next day it turns out the date of birth is not even asked for. After 6 months of exchanging emails, they claim that without the date of birth you can't book. And guess what, I go onto the site and yes, next to the name they ask for the date of birth! They made me hang around for 6 months until they implemented some changes to their booking system! What do you call this? Even after presenting the copy of the last page of the booking from 6 months ago, which does not have the DOB, they are denying and bargaining with me for each word I say as if we were in a market! On a separate occasion a few years ago we stayed at a hotel in Sharm El Sheikh through them, which they labelled as 5 stars, but in reality had cockroaches all over the place, awful food and cockroach ignoring staff (we pointed one out on the wall in the hotel restaurant to a waiter, who just walked off), I AM NEVER BOOKING WITH THEM AGAIN!

“Helpful, polite and empathetic!”

I needed to reschedule my flight from Dublin to New York when my family, with whom I planned to stay, became homeless due to Hurricane Sandy. I cannot praise the team at 'Last Minute' enough; they were so understanding and willing to get me the best deal under the circumstances. The airline, KLM/Delta, even wavered the taxes and service charges as a good will gesture, so that I only had to pay the fare difference!!
