If I could give 0 stars, I would. Some friends and I were trying to book flights to go on an American Council of the Blind conference, and we found some really good deals on lastminute.com. I used lastminute.com to buy theater tickets in April, at the end of April I noticed a recurring visa transaction for £14.95 debited from my account. I called the number on my statement and it's just an automated service, no one answers. We booked flights and 2 rooms in Paris Hotelas a package and on arrival told only one room had been booked. Thankfully hotel staff sorted this out. return flight cancelled due to volcanic ash. Just had an appalling experience with lastminute.com. We booked a flight with them and the return was cancelled due to the volcanic ash situation. The flight was with EasyJet and their website said you could rebook online; however since we had gone through lastminute there was no record of our booking. I booked a hotel through lastminute.com. No complaints with the booking or the hotel but their website offered what appeared to be a no-strings discount voucher against a future booking. I did't take it up and didn't think more about it. Happens everytime... false advertising if you ask me. Lastminute.com just shows you cheap rates, which then prove impossible to book !

Customer service helpline is never answered. The call centre staff are moody and don't understand what you are trying to get them to do. Found the hotel room £180 cheaper on another site and it took another 14 calls to cancel my booking. Great Website if you are just getting what you want, price are cheap but can be very mislead. I have never come close to having a break down until I booked with Lastminute.com.au
They double charged our tickets to $8500 by mistake, and refused to take responsibility for it, since they kept repeating "we don't have a billings team" - in other words, they take transfer thousands of dollars everyday, and have no data entry to account for any of it.
I had to go to the bank to prove they took it.

It all looks ok when you booked the hotel from lastminute.com webpage and paid. The miserable time is coming when they tell you the hotel is double booked and will not avialable at all. I actually gave then ZERO STARS, but this rating system requires at least one.
Lastminute.com told me that the flight for the second part of my one-way trip was cancelled and they would not refund my money. They also would not find a convenient alternative route. This is not a good company, they were not reachable in India and it has been very difficult to get partially reimbursed of my flight.
Use either Expedia (excellent) or book your flight directly on the airline companies websites.
