My husband booked a spa break for my xmas present, we received the email confirmation with a booking reference and instructions to ring the hotel direct to book the inclusive spa treatments before we arrived.
I rang the hotel a week before we were due to travel only to find they had no trace of our booking. Get this.... I do not travel. I stay close to home since the economy has left my husband out of a job after 18 years of dedication with his company. We watch every penny and I am very careful when online and NEVER gave out my card or bank info but somehow when I checked my balance through online banking I saw a 600.00 charge for lastminute.com. Some days ago I tried to book a flight to Brazil. While I was heading towards the end of the booking procedure - i.e. I gave my credit card details already - the website got stuck. I looked at my credit card account and found out that the money had been already grabbed. I called the customer service to know if I got the flight and they told me that there was no booking because actually the flight displayed on the website was no longer available.

Booked a hotel in London in November 2008. Marriott Park Lane. Booking went through, everything was fine. Confirmation of the deal arrived.
Then, after two days, LastMinute.com cancelled the deal and as far as I am aware they had not tried to contact me at all.
I am an experienced traveller, and have used the internet for years when it comes to plan trips for me and my family. This has never happened to me before. So I say: I do not recomemnd LastMminute.com.

1st - thought the holiday representative could have been more helpful.
2nd - the flight times are unknown when I booked my holiday it seemed.

If you must book with lastminute be very aware of this issue. If you check on internet forums and review sites you will see that thousands of people have had this problem. Apparently I signed up for some kind of offer unknowingly...something to do with ticking or unticking a box when I made my lastminute.com booking!

I bought a flight ticket for Italy 6 month ago. The trip features were: 16 hours of flight and only one stop.
Three weeks ago they sent me an e-mail saying that my trip plan had been changed.. the new features were: 24 hours of flight! Two stops, and at the second stop I've to wait for 8 hours! I tried making a hotel booking on Lastminute.com, but was told on the checkout pages that there was a technical error and that my card had not been debited, and suggestd I try again. After multiple attempts, I gave up, only to find out later from my bank that some charges had been made. The room I got was fine. But any good value I got has been spoiled in my opinion as in the course of the transaction I have found myself signed up for something called highstreetmax.com, which I did not request. We booked last February two weeks in Corfu for the September, was a good price and all seemed well, in June we received the tickets and paperwork but the flights were for the following week! I tried telephoning but there was no direct contact number, just automated service advising to e-mail any changes, which I did and finally 3 weeks later we got new tickets for the correct date but no apology.

I was not happy with their service, I do not recommend Last Minute.com. I arranged 2 separate flights in China. After the website kept crashing for me, I was told that paper only tickets were available. These were then sent by courier to my home address, despite a specific request that they be sent to work.
They mis-spelt my email address causing log on problems.
The sales staff member must have a learning difficulty as she could not spell my address back to me after 4 or 5 attempts.

I had a very bad experience with last min Bombay. Wrong information was given and 2 cards where blocked for more than 1800 pounds as far as I am concerned. I booked a flight through lastminute.com, but while we were waiting to board, the flight was cancelled. Trying to get a refund out of lastminute.com is like trying to get blood from a stone. They are impossible to get hold of. Although I have an e-mail from the airline confirming that the flight was cancelled, lastminute tell me that it was not. Very poor and unhelpful customer service in my experience.
Lastminute.com arranged a wedding room for us via their website, the advertised room was nothing like the actual room as far as I am concerned. It was so small we had to move, the night before our wedding! Because we didn't call within 24 hours (which fell on our wedding day itself), in my opinion they have refused to even answer correspondence and we are still (6 months on) trying to get the refund.
