Some years ago I booked a flight to Portugal with eBookers. It was in the days of real paper ticketing - sent to my address through the post. Arrived at Gatwick to find no trace of the flight on my ticket. After a confusing 15 mintues I found their office in LGW and asked them what was going on. If I could rating this company, they would get -100 stars and not one!!! THey are liars and scammers and should be banned from this business.
I tried booking an urgent flight through them on May 11 in order to attend my grandmother's funeral. Shortly after receiving a confirmation of booking, I received another email saying that my reservation was canceled because they were unable to verify my credit card. I booked 3 tickets from Lyon, France to Boston, USA in September 2010. I received a confirmation from eBookers, and the money was instantly debited from my account. Never again !!! what a bunch of unprofessional people !! Worst company I have had to deal with! Booked a flight which failed so I re-booked and then found I was charged twice!! Was forced to call ebookers whilst abroad to arrange a refund for one of the flights and was left with a £40 call charge! I booked two independent flights with ebookers.
The first was changed twice before finally being cancelled two weeks before my holiday. Part of life - I bought another ticket, clearly more expensive as it was all last minute.
Not received another email saying that my return ticket had to be cancelled as well. Called the airline - they did not amend anything.

I've used ebookers about 4 times and had 3 very dissapoing situations. 1 - had a booking confirmed, however when arrived in the airport found out that actually I didn't have booking.. oops?. 2 - one of the flights was cancelled ( due to weather conditions) I had to chase ebookers for 9 month to get a refund. 3 - today couldn't make a booking online and phoned customer service to ask for help. I recently booked a return flight from London to Manila using Ebookers. The flights were with Saudi Airlines and each leg had a stop-over in Saudi Arabia.
The price I paid using Ebookers was about £100 cheaper than any other booking company, ie. Expedia.
I never had any problems with the flights or checking-in etc. Everything went sweetly.

I booked a pre paid car hire with Avis, I live in the UK and the hire was for in the USA. When I arrived at the Avis office they couldn't process the pre paid voucher code, their system didn;t recognise it. I then had to call the UK number from the USA for over 30 MINUTES!!! Don't trust or rely on ebookers. They mis-spelled a name on our flight booking with Virgin, I spotted the mistake on the confirmation email and phoned them straight away, changes were free if notified on the same day. After 25 minutes on the phone they had not been able to get through to Virgin and gave up. The agent said she would 'escalate' the case and a supervisor would deal with it. Can't even give them a single star I'm afraid. Their customer service is appalling! I phoned to try and change a booking and they kept me on hold for 45 minutes insisting that they had to bring up the fare rules!
