Not enough benefits for me to want to remain a cardholder. Have tried to cancel and pay of balance over the phone but no luck. Card now cut in two

Just spoke to some call centre guy at Debenhams cards as my old gold card was split and I thought I should replace it. However, as I hadn't used it for 18 months the account had been closed but nobody thought it would be a good idea to let me know.

Payment Service is good but customer service and internet service is not good enough. GE money needs to improve their customer service centres or incease the number of customer service advisor. Also need to improve online system.

Generally, I believe that the Debenhams Store Card is a great card to have,as long as all is running smoothly.
I think that the interest rates are not too exceptional but then, if you can pay full balance then not an issue.

Got a Debenhams Store card on 26th Dec 2006 with the usual enticement of 10% discount
Returned the goods 27th Dec as it was damaged
The return zeroed the balance but this return hasn't got through to GE Capital - they still think they are owed for the item
Has anyone had the same problem ?? ...
