“DO NOT BUY A BUSH TV ”

Had the tv for a year, all was fine until it did an update, now it’s useless. Contacted Bush support who responded very slowly, they eventually sent me a memory stick to plug in the tv which didn’t fix the problem . One person said it was in warranty and offered a replacement but then he passed me over to someone else who said it wasn’t in warranty and I wasn’t going to get a replacement but that I should call him when I’m sat in front of the tv and he will see what he can do to help, which I can guarantee will leave me in a position where I’m forced to buy another tv , which definitely won’t be a Bush.

“Bush DHBDFDBL60BX 60cm Double Oven Dual Fuel Cooker -...”

Oven not heating up. I have had this for 18mths and just come offline with their customers services, I had to tell her 3 times that it could not be a fault with the electric feed as the electric ignition, the oven light and the fan is still working, I had to state twice that if it was a problem with the electric feed then they would not be working as well as the oven not heating up. They now want to charge me £90 to just look, and stated that "because of the age" of this appliance I would have to pay this call out charge, when was 18 mths old for a item that is designed to be used on a daily bases. The cooker cot over £300 and with the cost of getting it plugged into the gas comes to nearly £400, what a waste.

“Dodgy fridge freezer”

Bought bush fridge freezer from argos 5 months ago it's totally stopped working I rang bush as I got 12 months warranty so 7 months remaining the answer I got from bush was warranty is void because I'm using an extension lead to power the unit (which had surge protection) and they will not help and put phone down absolutely disgusting

“Tv backs teen gone after 2 years”

Since buying my 43inch smart tv I had problems with it but managed to fix it myself. But just 3 months after the warranty ran out I got no picture but sound but would intermittently work. Spoke to bush said back screen gone and as out of warranty best to buy a new tv. Not but to last. Avoid

“Incompetent or unethical”

I had a working 50 inch Bush smart TV. Bush send a software update. I accept it. My TV is now dead. As it is out of warranty they say tuff. How can they be allowed to send out kill signals for their products?

“Bush cooker”

We had a bush cooker less than 6 months we had it insured and it was still under warranty wich set on fire it was 6 months old and the day it set on fire it had only been switched on 15 minutes we contacted insurance who said it is the warranty people we must contact and so we did so and they ask for pictures and it was internal fire so no out side damage and they would not even bother to send some one out to check it or inspect it abd basically they claim they can not do anything about it. Dont buy Bush it's not safe and the customer service and complaints people are not competent at dealing with stuff like this.

“Not good for entertainment”

I am ready to through a brand new Bush tv in the trash. Everything seems to be puzzle and need directions for. This is not a smart tv better left for public info display. Crappy apps included and major apps a burden or require third party devices to view. I would like to have my funds back.

“My new tv”

I received a new Bush tv today and after 6 hours it developed a fault. The bottom 6 inches of the screen have become grey and shimmering. I have asked for a replacement But I don't hold much hope from the seemingly bad company

“Worst to I’ve ever had ”

Bought a 50” bust fire to from Argos two weeks ago, it’s stuck in a loop and won’t connect to my sky box, even unplugged it and still nothing, if you unplug it and try again it either want to reboot or gos back into the loop of fire to then loading then bush fire to, I will never get anything or recommend bush to anyone

“Smart TV; but could be smarter.”

Got a model ELED 24 HDSA from Ebay. New, unused. Cost £159 delivered. But since found Argos selling them for £99.00. Overall a good product. Picture is very good. Sound ok with right menu choices. Main bugbear is the format of the programme guide. Small font size. But when you go for 'info', and a programme synopsis the font is ridiculously small, and illegible. Nothing like as good as e.g. an LG, from 2015. Makes it hard to live with day to day. For that reason would not have another one. Would have been useful to have known beforehand. Though I notice that many review ratings make no mention of such a fundamental point of issue.

“Worst TV I've ever bought.”

On the positive side, although I had problems with my new Bush television from the moment I first bought it, the telephone number for after sales service connected me to a very knowledgeable young man who helped me to remedy the problem Sadly, this television constantly needs re-tuning. Frequently, when the TV is turned on, it displays the words "No signal" It then takes several minutes to go through the auto tune process. I would never buy Bush again.

“Rubbish tv”

Not impressed, my smart tv is under 1yr old and its playing up, freeview keeps saying Im not connected to the internet when I am. Ive done so many factory resets Ive lost count! I am unable to watch my5 on catchup, the screen goes black, Ive been told that my5 have updated their app and its no longer compatable with my tv.(DLED39HDS) The remote will not change channels by pressing the back button on certain channels, using the remote to go on standby I press the button and the standby light keeps flashing so I press it again and the tv comes back on and I have to press it again to go onto standby. I spoke to customer support at argos and they were useless! I tried a firmware update but none was found. As the tv was so cheap I have wondered if its an old model which is no longer made so theres no further updates. So fed up I have now disabled the internet and now use chromecast which to be honest is much better than faffing around using the remote. Will say its a nice looking tv, good picture and sound, it just has too many glitches! Smart it is NOT!

“Bush television remote ”

This is absolute rubbish. Goes off on silent without anyone touching it. Press button for another channel and it goes in silent. Press button for iplayer and it goes on to silent. Have gone through five remote controls in less than 12 months. Bush television was a gift but would never recommend anyone to buy this make.

So I bought tv Bush 14 months ago and not working at all,warranty only 12 months, I was trying to fix but it is not worth it because main part is burned so don't try to buy BUSH tv because it is waisting your money better sped little bit more and will last much longer!!!

“Rubbish aftercare after TV bought”

After purchasing a TV for Christmas for my daughter from an Argos store the TV soon started to show signs of going wrong by turning off and restarting itself then gradually the TV remote would not even work. Still under warranty, I contacted Argos who were not prepared to switch it or even take a look. Instead they sent a USB stick for a software reset which again did not work so I am currently waiting yet more weeks for a repair to be booked in. Having contacted Bush I expected their response to be a little better and more helpful, sadly not! Was again promised a USB stick to reset the software even though the previous attempt had failed. Still waiting for that USB to arrive weeks down the line after being told 5-7 working days. Shocking aftercare and will never buy a Bush product again. My daughter has been able to use her £140 TV approximately 4-5 times in 6 months. Not happy at all and made to feel like I am a liar. I’m sure my daughter will continue to enjoy my broken £140 television she got for Xmas. Thanks Argos and Bush

“SOFTWARE OUT OF DATE FOR NETFLIX & YOUTUBE IN LESS...”

Bought as spare bedroom/caravan TV to watch Netflix & YouTube Exercise videos. Worked perfectly up to 2 weeks ago when took on holiday & retuned for different region. Upon return & retuning back to home region it no longer functions. Netflix ran various tests & said to contact manufacturer but Argos (part of Bush owners Sainsburys) say no software updates available - "buy Amazon Fire stick or Chrome Cast"!! So TV useless for our use within 3 yrs. Total waste of money!!! I recommend NOT buying from Argos again!!!

“Terrible Tv”

“Avoid Bush smart TV. After 14months line across screen ”

Tried contact argos told me to unplug hold power button. Not solved the problem since day one switches itself off. Now line across screen pink stripes flashing on and off every 3seconds only bedroom TV so not in use often terrible product should be recalled. £170 for 14months worth tv.

I was given a 40" Bush TV for Christmas. It appears every day (sometimes more than once) a timer in seconds appears on screen and advises to press any number, which obviously I do, but can you let me know why a timer should appear at all?

my 40" TV DVD Bush combi has stopped working. The red standby light cannot be activated to blue and the manual buttons also do not work (remote batteries checked etc) - tried inserting a DVD to see if this would work - nothing. Working fine Saturday evening the only thing is, I do not know if daughter left it on standby Saturday night and we had a power cut Sunday morning which activated all neighbouring alarms - would this have caused a power surge if left on standby ? Any ideas please?

I have a Bush 22 screen TV, I have had it for a year. Recently I have not been able to use it. It turns on normally, screen picture is working but it plays the sound of another channel. Remote doesn't work (have tried changing batteries). After about 2 mins it reboots itself and does the exact same thing again. I have tried turning it on and off, as well as keeping off for 48hours still no luck. Does anyone have any advice?Thanks

This seems to be a problem with bush tv's and this will not get any better soon., it's a fault called power cycling and it's expensive repair. If it's out of warranty there is a thing called sale of goods act where goods have to be of satisfactory Use this checklist to see if you could try and use the EU rule: • The goods were purchased no longer than two years ago • The store will not provide a refund or repair because you are returning the item after their return period has ended, usually one year • You are reporting the fault within two months of discovering it • The goods show no signs of damage through your actions or misuse. The best advice is to print off the EU rule and take a copy with you. If staff fail to recognise it, ask them to take your details and report your complaint to their bosses. Take a note of the names of any staff you speak to and explain that you will contact them again soon for a response. You may manage to get your refund on the basis of the EU directive, however, shops are within their rights to use the Sale of Goods Act as the definitive guideline

My standby light stays on when I turn the TV on but, my TV will not turn on or load up when I attempt to hold the standby button on the sensor area, the standby light begins to flash slowly, however the TV still does not load up or turn on. The times between when it flashes on and off vary. Why is this? How can I attempt to fix this problem as my TV is only 3 years old. It's a Bush LCD40883F 108op.

I have Bush 32 inch TV and on the screen it says common interface module removed. I want to know how to remove that common interface module from the TV screen?

Can someone tell me why my new 40 inch LED Bush TV keeps initialising from the setup till now? The TV remains useless.

Bought a new bush tv when it all went digital, for my mum. It began to smoke from inside! Mum quickly got to the plug and switched off. It continued to smoke and as mum is 87 she couldn't lift it outside. Thankfully my partner called round and moved it outside. Does anyone know if this has happened to other bush TVs?

I got a bush smart tv and its only a couple of months old was working fine and them it started turning itself off and on again with just a black screen how can this be fixed please?
