Interest rate on my Marbles Credit Card has gone thru the roof, I'm now paying more interest than my minimum monthly payment. How do I get out of it. Phoned them to ask why they just said 2.5% of balance, 2.465% per ? = 33% APR. Why are these people so much more than any other credit card company.

I went for a Marbles card when they first started. All was fine at the begining - nice simple online managment service - and getting cash back on the account was a real bonus. Then I had several occassions when my transaction was stopped due to suspicion of fraud (but it wasn't) and I had to ring t ...

For the last 15 years I have been a non resident in UK.
My Beneficial Bank Account of 20 years was tranferred without any warning to a Marbles Credit Card Account last February. I had a large positive balance in the Beneficial account which went along with the unwanted transfer into Marbles. When ...

The Marbles Credit Card feels to me like the most poorly administered card I have ever used. Despite telling them every time I go abroad, the card never seems to work and I find myself having to ring them again to get them to switch it on at great expense to myself. They recently sent me a new Maste ...

I originally took out a platinum Mastercard branded as "Churchill," which was affiliated to the car insurance company of the same name, and issued by Beneficial Bank. At about 17% APR, the interest rate was reasonable, but not the best around. This was in 2002.Skip forward a few years and the affil ...

I used to love this Marbles credit card, apart from the offshore call centres. Now that their interest rate has risen beyond belief,Interest rate on my account jumped from 15.9% to 27.9% when the business was sold to Aviemore Funding.

When I queried why the interest rate had doubled, when base rates have fallen to 2%, they said it was to do with economic factors and my personal situation. I was shocked, as I have never missed a payment on any credit agreement. Is the 30.9% a reflection on me, or is everyone else being charged the ...
