Made the mistake of going for cost over customer service, never again. Ordered online a week ago and had to wait 1 week for delivery of in stock item. Paid £10 for 3 hour delivery slot and not delivered. Rang call centre to first be told 2-3 days and then after checking would be with me tonight between 6.15 and 7.15, of course didnt arrive. Rang back at 8pm and told delay at depot and to ring back in 1 hour. Asked when call centre closed and was told now and was cut off. Absolutely shocking… Read Full Review

Very poor service. Our order was over two weeks late tried to contact customer services to find out where our order was and it took them three days to reply to my emails this annoyed me so I cancelled my order and went elsewhere. customer services are a joke and had to give them one star to be able to put this review online but customer services deserve no stars… Read Full Review

I ordered this last Saturday and at the time of ordering was told an email would be sent immediately and goods would arrive in 3-5days.
No email but when I emailed Customer Services, I go a reply pretty soon after asking for my phone number and convenient time. I replied but got the same (autmomated) email back.

Avoid Dixons.co.uk at all costs! I ordered this product as it was the cheapest on-line by far. I arranged for my product to be delivered on a specific day but item did not arrive. I called Dixons to be told there was a note of on the system that DHL left it 2 doors away with 'an elderly lady by the name of Pat'. what ever you do don't get there insurance
my laptop went faulty 3 months ago so got it picked up.
came back with cd rom missing
sent off for repair again. now its returned scratched to bits as it had a polished finish
argued to get it sent back
returned without the power adapter
so requested a write off under 28 days
was picked up and returned 2 weeks later saying no fault found.

Went in to Currys store on Friday to buy new fridge Freezer it was busy and we had to wait up to 10 mins, staff then took us through the available items and explained the energy efficiency ratings and cubic capacitys etc. We purchased the Hotpoint Fridge Freezer with a promised deliver date of monday. The product was faulty as soon as we received it. Rang customer services. All automated. Finally was instructed to take it to a local store. Fair enough, right? Well not really. I purchased a fridge freezer and was given a delivery date over a week later but on a Saturday which would have been great. The weather intervened and I totally accepted, due to the snow, I would not get the delivery that day. It was then supposed to be delivered yesterday. My husband took a day off work unpaid. I ordered sony vaio laptop from dixons. They sent me the mail it says my order confirmed... Next day i got unacceptable voice mail which says company name and laugh loudly. I recommend this company to no-one, poor slow customer service, they take your money and randomly confirm your delivery date in an indeterminate period of time later. They have vague policies on this that state they aim to get products out within 3 days, don't count on it though.
They do accept goods being returned readily once you have penetrated their slow customer service, found someone who gives a fig and the forced them to help you, after hours of waiting on the phone.

Never had such a bad shopping experience in my life as I have had with Dixons.co.uk. Their staff say anything, and do nothing about the problem. If you complain they just forget about it and do not register it.
I have sat at home with broken equipment for three months. Dixons have done nothing.
If Dixons.co.uk have such bad customer service, and staff that don't listen, then Currys and PC World must be just as bad - as they are all the same firm.

I try to buy a TV online from them last Sat(04/12/2010)and their web site was not taking transactions. Then after a few calls and waiting for two days I've managed to place my order yesterday (07/12/2010) and this morning I had a security check call from them! although I used my credit card which my belling address on that is the same as my residential and I found no reasons them calling me for security check and ask for my last address etc...

You're supposed to put a reference number on their site to see delivery times but it gives you nothing but ads to buy stuff!
The support line is said to work 24/7 but when you call and choose the options you eventually get told to call during working hours...

I purchased a home cinema system for my husband for a xmas preasant, only to find when the parcel arrived, it wasn't wrapped or sleaved to disguise the item what so ever..... Husband went to the delivery van to sign for the goods and discovered what he was getting for xmas. If you buy from Dixons or Currys,(same company)you may be as unfortunate as I was. I saw the TV that I wanted in Currys, but bought from Dixons, as the TV was £100 cheaper. I paid by credit card on their website. The set was delivered (Currys lorry)and set up by one of the delivery men. As I checked the back of the set for the various plugs and sockets I saw evidence that the back had been removed. So this set had been repaired and is second hand.
