I bought this 'heap of rubbish' 3 weeks ago thinking that with it being a land Rover it would go on for ever and would be built to last. I should have read the reviews before buying, I agree with virtually everyone that this is a poor car, in fact I would say it's the worst car I have ever bought. I ...

This Land Rover Freelander has been a total nightmare! I bought it 8 months ago from a dealership and it was running fine. Then is starting overheating recently and become very noisy while running. Turns out my oil pump failed and I need a whole new engine. This car is a complete joke.... I would ne ...

Head gasket blown twice, oil pump failed, needed new engine, after 4 months same problems starting again. Dont buy one - it will cost a fortune and will be difficult to sell.

I would advise anyone who is considering buying a Freelander to forget it, as it will cost a fortune in repairs if you do not have a full Landrover warranty. My Freelander is in the garage at the moment, and it has just cost me £1500. I could buy a small runaround for that!

My wife bought the Land Rover Freelander after seeing and driving one, overall I thought it was a good car for what she needed, we are farmers and in earth moving construction. It did nearly a years faultless motoring until, the clutch master cylinder failed,(we have our own workshop). I was stagger ...

I bought my Land Rover Freelander from a dealer. At first I and my wife loved it and immediately paid £8000 for it, a W reg. After 2 days I realised it loses water and temperature went up to red zone. After taking it to the dealer 5 or 6 times back, and dealer put different new pieces at each ...

I've had my Land Rover Freelander for 3 whole weeks, and on the way to Gatwick the engine blew. It cost me my holiday, flights, car parking, hotel, plus the luxury of getting us home (£150 tow). It cost me £6000 new, so a very expensive mistake. It's in between Christmas and New Year, ...

My first fault occurred 7 months into ownership when the battery appeared to be flat after a 2 hour drive to the Lakes. Landrover Rescue were excellent. No apparent reason for the fault.
Second fault 11 months into ownership when the fuel sender proved faulty and I ran out of petrol. Dealt with the ...

Head Gasket leaked, No warning, the Cylinder liners embedded themselves in head all after being MOT'd two weeks previously. The Land Rover Freelander has only driven 63000 kilometers! Response from LR as it was imported from Germany, you have to take it up with them.
